Pelvic floors

Posting this might be yet another procrastination tactic, but is anyone else struggling with pelvic floors? I can do a few in a row, but then notice that I'm just sucking my tummy in and give up. I then get really lazy with them and don't bother at all for a few days. I find the advice a bit confusing too - some sites say do 100 a day, but my pff app gives me ridiculous amounts of praise (you go superwoman!) for doing 3.

I know that it's good practice for avoiding incontinence later, but that delayed gratification just ain't working, psychologically.

I'm 20 weeks through my 1st pregnancy. Any tips or encouragement gladly received..

No tips, just the same issues! I just keep forgetting to do them. I do a few when I remember (just done 4! Go me!!), but I can't help feeling that's not quite adequate.

Marking my spot on this thread for any advice - I'm not sure I'm even doing it right....!?

We do a few in yoga but the teacher tells us to continue at home as regularly as we can. She describes it as feeling different levels in your fanjo, squeeze once, then a bit more and then that final bit more and hold it. A bit like if you needed to hold in a smelly fart, then a wee and then a bit more and then releasing it all. I guess you never can tell if you're doing it right, its all internal so you'll not see any physical results yet but there's only so many ways you can squeeze your fanjo I suppose.

I think as long as you are doing something then it helps.. apparently its more important to do them straight after childbirth..?!

Trying to squeeze a few in while i'm writing this actually! :-)

I didn't do pelvic floors really when pg last time, or after the birth all that much.

I'm now pg with no2 after a 6 year gap, also suffering from a bad cough, and when I retch with morning sickness or have a coughing fit I wet myself Sad.

Do your pelvic floors! I am - hopefully not too late!
