17 weeks - could it be that my morning sickness is going? Dare I hope?

If it is that's ok isn't it? There's nothing to worry about when MS stops at 17 weeks? I went into major panic mode when my MS stopped for all of 1 day around 10 weeks.

I daren't speak too soon but boy I will not miss throwing up the bright green stomach acid whilst peeing myself at the same time!

Please cross your fingers for me!

mine stopped at 17 weeks Grin with ds.
It did come back momentarily through out the rest of my pregnancy but it was much reduced and far less intense.
Far more bearable.

Im 17 weeks now and have not really had nausea this time....whcih of course freaked me out and i thought some thing was wrong.

Im rather glad because it really was very disabling.

What do you fancy to eat now then? Something yummy??

Mine went around this time too with both dc's.

I could murder a cup of coffee! Haven't had one for 3 months! Strictly forbidden I know but what I would give for a large chilled glass of pinot! Really couldn't tolerate the thought of it until now so the no wine thing was no problem; might be more of a struggle if I don't feel ill though!

Yeah, decaf just isnt the same is it.

Ive been off coffee completely anyway, but had a decaf this morning, was awful.

My hope was in vain, this morning's breakfast of sausage, boiled egg and toast went in and straight back out again.
Sad

Erm, you CAN have wine and coffee, just not by the bucket load. And you can get medication for sickness

PeshwariNaan · 26/08/2012 11:08

Mine stopped at about 16 1/2 and that was plenty long enough for me to feel that baby was OK! Mine was pretty severe and it had been going for about 10 weeks - though I did get a week break at 10 weeks, after which it got twice as bad as before. So relieved it seems to be over though I still have the odd nauseated day.

PeshwariNaan · 26/08/2012 11:09

Oh - so sorry you're not through it yet. Hold on to hope - it could go at 18, or 20...

PeshwariNaan · 26/08/2012 11:11

By the way, one cup of coffee or a couple of cups of tea a day is fine - and a glass of wine once a week is probably OK too depending on how you feel about it. I couldn't stomach coffee or tea until after my MS was gone - now I have one cup of tea a day and that is a real treat! Alcohol - I'll have a sip of DH's beer when we go out, but I've got no real desire for anything stronger.

The good news is you are totally normal. The bad news is that it can last the whole pregnancy. Mine did, both times. Although the second time it got me out of changing dirty nappies or emptying our food recycling bin.

My MS started at 5 weeks and stopped at 20 weeks. Weeks 18 to 20 the MS was not as bad and only sick a few times then disappeared at 20. Wink

MammyToMany · 27/08/2012 19:09

I'm 17 weeks and the nausea is becoming less and less often. Migraines seem to be a touch better too. I live in hope!

GrandPoohBah · 27/08/2012 19:21

My all day queasiness eased a LOT when I was about 16/17 weeks. I've started feeling sick again in the mornings recently (26 weeks), but I think it's because I've recently started waking up STARVING.

Pinkflipflop · 27/08/2012 21:48

It's good news that there is hope! Fingers crossed it will end soon and I will start to bloom!!
