Title of thread is probably self-explanatory, really :)
10 weeks pg today and the tiredness has reached a ludicrous level. I am struggling to work (I work from home so it's hard to motivate myself when I feel this wiped out) and can barely even hold a conversation with DH when he gets in. It lasts all day but is worst first thing in the morning and mid-pm. I am getting 8 hours sleep a night and more often than not a nap in the day but it barely helps. This is totally drained, wiped-out, feel like I've just been hit by a train exhaustion.

Please PLEASE tell me this gets better :(

It will get easier (well, less tiring). I was shattered and knocked out with morning (hah!) sickness for the first 5 months or so. I would go to bed before DH got home from work sometimes and in fact, the only thing that made me get out of bed was work. At the weekend I'd only get up to be sick then go back to bed.

But once I stopped work (at 7 months because of holidays) I felt soooo much better! I had loads of energy, to the surprise of friends we stayed with that summer. They were organising things around me expecting me to be flat out like my friend had been in late pregnancy and I was the one asking to go out for walks etc. Smile

I did get signed off work for a week when I was 4 months pregnant though. Think the doctor saw how tired I was. I claimed I was fine but spent the week in bed mumsnetting anyway and felt so much better afterwards.

I bought the spatone pouches from boots at the weekend as they do not stock floradix. Only been 6 days and the tiredness seems a bit better.

You take one a day or can have 2 while pg.

Am only 8 weeks and can't believe how wiped out I am. Counting the days till I am 12 weeks then will cry if it does not get better.

I'm getting my old energy back, at 13 weeks, so it does get better. What helps me is eating proper home cooked meals, keeping away from rubbish convenience snacks, and getting regular exercise.

I can't even be bothered to chop a apple at the moment. Am spending a fortune on pre cut fruit from the supermarket.

I can only eat till 4pm though, after that the "morning" sickness kicks in with a vengeance and only fizzy water passes my lips.

It's such a glamerous business making babies,

It will get better - mine didn't really improve until 14 weeks, but I'd bet I was sleeping at least 12 hours a day during the worst of it! I was so tired I couldn't even make it to the loo to be sick at about 9 weeks (hence the bedside bucket).

8 hours is nothing! Even now 8 hours isn't enough for me.

Be kind to yourself - go to bed early (I used to go to bed right after dinner) and take naps if you can.
