questions to ask at hospital

I've been told best place to deliver baby is in QMC, (this is not my local mat unit) I'm going back there in Sept when i'll be 36 weeks, and just wondering what sort of questions to ask them, the MW/Consultant keep asking if i got any questions, but i never think of any on the spot. I've never used the Mat unit there before or labour ward and wondering what sort of questions would be best to ask, I struggle in new places I have never been to due to mental health issues, it makes me panic a lot and i've been known to blackout and have seizures when to stressed. This will be my 2nd dc, straight after my 1st was born i blacked out and ended up having to stay in bed and call for assistance just to breast fed or do a nappy change, i wasn't allowed to be on my own for first few days so really worried it will happen again but not sure how to address the matter.I feel really insecure and nervous when talking to ppl i have never met. I would be very grateful if anyone could help me out with some questions to ask to help me get over the panic that is setting in already about the birth.

Thank you in advance so if it's a bit of a waffle.

How about asking how you will be managed in terms of a named midwife? When giving birth I sort of thought one person would see me through which was a bit naive, ended up with four of them taking turns!! You could ask what their caesarian rate is and under what circumstances you would get one. You could ask what their procedures would be if you black out, maybe it will help you to have in your mind exactly what will happen? Some units have a birth centre type unit and a more consultant type part so you could ask about that - I wasnt allowed to get out of bed for my labour and would really have liked to - it maybe helps to know beforehand. I am the same if I dont have a list of questions I get flustered at the time and forget (or even if I do!). The thing to remember is that they want to hear your concerns, even if you're just worried you're not asking the right questions just let them know. If you tell them what you're worried about its almost the same as asking a question - they'll have a better idea of how to reassure you. They are probably standing there worrying that they are not communicating well with you and wondering what they can do differently, if you tell them they will be relieved :)

thankyou Nigglenaggle, this has helped me your have mentioned a few points that i have not even thought about. I'll talk to both Lincoln and Nottingham hospital about all my concerns and see what they say and hopefully that will help curb my anxiety and panic problems.
