Right bit of a tmi question Blush Any of you ladies who have had babies more recently than me remember feeling an awful lot of pressure down below? I keep getting what I can only describe as electric shocks up the old vag Blush and a deep throbbing pain along with it. The whole area aches and it is sore to sit or stand.
Has the babies wee head just shifted slightly??
I am also getting a lot of discharge but it is none offensive and not irritating so not an infection.

I'm 33 weeks with #4 after an almost 10 year gap and baby was 4/5ths palpable at last weeks antenatal.

I'm 39 weeks pregnant with DC2 and have been having pains like you from around 34 weeks.

MW told me it was cuz of the pressure and weight of baby and fluid pushing down.

Not pleasant, but I'm very much looking forward to the baby being born now so the pain goes away. Please!!!

I'm almost 35 weeks and have had this for about a week. I was kind of hoping it means she's engaged. It does feel like she's about to fall out tho.

Thanks ladies. Just another of those things I need to learn to live with for the next few weeks then.

I did have a blissful few hours bobbing around in the birth pool last night after we decided to do a wet run! Tis just a shame I cant leave it up permanently lol x

Hi i'm 30+3 weeks and already feeling similar pains just put a post about it this morning, pains are getting stronger and feels like i've been hit by a hammer, and stapping pains all in lower bump and down below.

yep i had this in my pregnancies, the extra weight of the baby and increased blood flow means its all a bit swollen and sensitive, it could be something like spd tho so keep an eye on it, also you can get sciatica?w hich would explain the electric shock type feeling, it will be the baby pressing on a nerve, not much you can do.

i found it helpful to lean over a birth ball or be on all fours, to take the pressure of a bit and it will help encourage the baby to be in a good position for labour :)
