Im 15 weeks pregnant and I've just thrown up a loud of bile this morning. I have never experienced morning sickness with my first dd and I thought I wasn't getting it with this one. Is it morning sickness? I feel stupid always asking the midwives these sorts of questions :) can anyone help?

For my first two pregnancies I had no sicknness at all but with my 3rd I had nausea from about 6 weeks but from 15 weeks was actually sick. This happened every day for about 3 weeks.

At the time my midwife said it was unusual to start so late but does happen.

If you havent been experiencing nausea though maybe its a tummy bug.

I,m the same. Been nauseous for weeks but only started puking at 12 wks. Now 14 wks and still puking a bit first thing. I'm finding that a bit of plain yoghurt first thing helps settle the acid and then i can eat properly a bit later. But it changes from day to day TBH!

Last time I was more sick in second and third trimester than in first. In my case it was heartburn and by the end of pregnancy I was sick most evenings!

Another one who had heartburn induced sickness. Every night I had the same routine: eat dinner, feel rough, lie down for 30 mins, be sick. And I used to get sick when I hadn't eaten anything as well! Mornings were pretty bad.
This pregnancy hasn't been as bad so far but when I get it I take a tesco antacid. It's like rennies or gaviscon but better.

I started morning (ha!) sickness at 10 weeks.
It lasted until 24 weeks.
My record was puking 8 times in one day (around the 21 week mark).
All the water you drink before your scan so they can see the baby? All left at the roadside on the way to the hospital, both times.....
I discovered that if you clamp your hand over your mouth as you run to the loo, the tea you just drank comes out through your nose instead. I don't recommend it.
Cereal is foul to throw up - comes up like sludge. Pasta - not so bad, and faster.

In the middle of all this, I felt fine. I felt intense nausea from week 6-12 but wasn't sick. Once the vomiting started, the nausea went. I don't get it either.

Essentially, everything that happens is normal as long as it doesn't become extreme and require hospital treatment. I got very matter of fact about it - could eat half a meal, go and throw up, come back, sit down and carry on eating. I also gradually adjusted eating habits based on what was better to throw up. Weird weird weird. But normal!

My MS onlt started at 12 weeks, am now 14. I think it's a build up of acid/biles overnight which has nowhere to go. Mine is very yellow and smells of overripe pineapple!
My hints are: have a late snack literally just before you go to bed - keeps the tummy/acid working a bit longer overnight. also i find that a couple of spoonfuls of plain natural yoghurt at about 5am when I wake needing a wee/starting to feel queasy is also helping. Avoid drinking large amounts of water firstbthing/just before you get up - i find it aggrievates the acid and sloshes about ina yucky manner, leading to puke. Brekfast is now small amount of plain yog and berries, no sugar, no juice, no water. Then i have another breakfast when i get into work, like toast. This seems to have worked the past 2 days but will see what happens tomorrow!!
