Is there some sort of hormone surge at 15 weeks?

This week I have been a total mess, I've cried so had I thought I was going to pass out and randomly started sobbing for no reason at all. I've not had anything like this in the first trimester when my hormones would have been rampant.

Is it normal to be this totally emotional for no reason at all?

Totally normal, anytime from conception to God only knows how long afterwards!!

I went completely mad in week 14 and stayed that way until week 18 - was very depressed. I think I read somewhere that there is a progesterone surge round about then. Bad luck - it will pass.

Agree with nigglenaggle!!! Hormone surges whenever, at the drop of a hat - and it's all normal!

I cried at 12 weeks at a teddy bear that had been stuffed in a rubbish bin. I howled with rage at 16 weeks at some mean old bitch woman who yelled at me on my bike (when I was doing nothing wrong!!). I sobbed and sobbed at 28 weeks at the sight of the Great Ormond Street logo during the Olympic opening ceremony (crying baby Sad it's making me well up just typing it!!). And at 30 weeks am wide awake with nerves/anxiety about all sorts of stupid things.

Grin it's all normal!

14 weeks I cried at my husband because he threw away the last bagel (he thought it was out of date- it wasn't). Even while I was ranting at him I knew I was being bonkers but couldn't stop it!

Yep pregnancy can make you crackers at any time. It's all normal I'm afraid. Get some good tissues and have a really good cry.

I cried just about everytime one of those adverts for Save The Children, or GReat Ormond Steet Hosp or RSPCA came on. Vulnerable children and animals did it for me.

And just the other night, I cried during 'Who Do You Think You Are' because they showed old pictures of sad looking Victorian kids in a work house/orphanage and explained that Samantha Janus' great grandmother (or something) was 2.5 years when she was given up into one......which is about the same age as my dd1. Can't imagine her in one of these places for a second....awful!

The hormones and crying never really go! All part of loving someone so incredibly much though!

Good luck with the rest of your pregnancy! Smile
