Can I do anything to help breech baby turn?

I'm 33+1 and MW this morning discovered baby is in fact, still breech, despite thinking she had moved position previously. She was very reassuring and I'm aware that baby has another 3 weeks to turn before I'm sent for a presentation scan followed by a possible ECV. She directed me to a couple of leaflets from the RCOG about ECV and options if it doesn't work, which I've been reading this afternoon.

Is there anything I can do to assist her in turning? Do any of the things I've been reading about this afternoon (kneeling with your bum in the air, that kind of thing) actually have any effect or am I going to be wasting my time? I know I'm probably over thinking it and there's a good chance she'll turn by herself in the next 3 weeks but it's really playing on my mind now!

Try the Spinning Babies website

Moxibustion. I had it at 36/ 37 weeks I think. Baby turned in 12 hours.

Hi op
spinning babies
When i was pregnant with DS i tried this site but he was transverse not breech

Don't know if it's any good but worth a shot, he was sorted out by the end and we had a wonderful birth but i guess i'll never know if hanging upside down and sitting with frozen veg on my boobs and a hot water bottle on my nether regions had anything to do with it !

Grin good luck

My sister was told that she could scrub the floor if she wanted to try to turn her breech baby (ie lots of kneeling leaning forward) but all that would give her was a clean floor.... Didn't turn

Bouncing on a birthing ball is supposed to be helpfull.

Thanks for all the suggestions, ladies. Going to get the birthing ball out this evening and have a look at the other suggestions today as well. That spinning babies website looks really helpful :o

Duck dives in a deep swimming pool are supposed to help.

My Yoga teacher swears by her all fours method. Get on your hands and knees and bring your hips and shoulders together as comfortably as you can.... as if you were looking at your bum, and do this either side for about twenty minutes (or as long as you can handle) Yeah it looks a bit funny and a room full of women trying to look at either side of their arse is hillarious to watch. I'm 30 weeks at the minute and have no idea what position my LO is in but if she's breech I think I'll give anything a go!

Reflexology might help - I used it on one client whose DD was still breech at 36w, the baby turned that afternoon (checked by scan next day) - can't say for certain that it worked but it's worth a try! and makes your feet feel lovely and cushiony afterwards too. :)
