Is it thrush? Or is it to do with the pregnancy - hormones or something?

No other symptoms, no more discharge than normal. Tends to be worse on an evening.
Its becoming very embarrassing Blush

Can anyone recommend any products I can buy to get rid of it to avoid seeing the doctor?

I had that, it was exzema, took ages to diagnose! You can buy Canestan cream from your pharmacy, but if that doesn't help (didn't for me) try Savlon, and see your GP - pregnancy induced exzema of the bits is horrible horrible horrible! It lasted 20 weeks for me....

i had it too - was thrush for me though, so LOADS of canestan did the trick - almost got to the stage of needing repeat prescription!

Canesten has warning about use in pregnancy on it (am currently suffering antibiotic induced bout of thrush..tmi..!) - please check with GP just in case :)

Canesten is ok... I have talked to GP and am also a nurse...have used it this pregnancy and last one with no ill effects.

Sounds like thrush, Shy22. V Common in pregnancy...tmi but is likely due to increased secretions and hormonal variation.

Important to keep using cream for week or so, even if symptoms disappear...stops it coming back with a vengeance!

Good luck !

I had this and Ob said to use Canesten but not effective so used Vagisil which worked.

I had raging thrush throughout two of my pregnancies. God it was horrible!

My brilliant midwife told me, and this may involve a leap of faith, to thread some cotton through a peeled garlic clove, drop a little tea tree oil into the clove and put it 'up there' overnight. In the morning pull it out (that's where the cotton comes in). This did the trick for me when nothing else did. It really works.
