Can anyone recommend a co-sleeper cot? I've seen the arms reach one. Are there any others that people rate?
Thanks

We adapted our normal mothercare one by drilling holes at the right height so it matched our bed. I am a legendary tightwad and didn't want to spend any more than I had to, and hadn't planned to cosleep.

i think mothercare do one and cossatto (sp?).

we have the arms reacher one and love it. its smaller than a normal bedside cot/travel cot so fitted perfectly in the gap beside our bed and the wall. it doesnt sit flush with our bed but the side only comes down a little so there is still a lip so baby cant roll out. was perfect for us as id had a csection and so could lift ds1 out of it without needing to sit up which was painful for the first week or 2.

Thanks both. The arms reach one is quite expensive but does seem to have really good reviews.
Whatinthewhatnow, that sounds like a great solution, but I am not very handy with a drill- could see it all ending badly if I attempted that!

I am going to adapt my current ikea cot with the 'more holes to the right height' method.

Well, I say I am, DP is (if he ever gets round to it!)

Co-sleepers are too dear!

We were going to get the ikea one till we were given a brio but I actually might take the wheels off as I imagine nighttime skating scenarios!

I used a normal cot, just lowered one side all the way down and put it alongside the bed. A normal cot is quite heavy, do it didn't move away from the bed, and the little lip of the lowered side reassured me that I couldn't roll into the cot without noticing and baby couldn't roll into the bed without my help. The mattresses just happened to be the right height, but I'd have put folded blankets/towels under the cot matress to raise it if necessary rather than spend £££ on another cot.

My parents said they would buy one for me as a new baby gift (which is lovely of them) and I've also been given a normal cot, buggy, moses basket, carseat, sling etc so I have been quite lucky.
The normal cot I have wouldn't fit in my bedroom as it's pretty big.
And I don't have a partner to do impressive DIY with the drill!
What's the brio? I'll have a google.
Co-sleepers seem like they are a good idea at the beginning as you don't have to sit up to get the baby... aren't they?
