Does this bag exist?

When DD1 was born last year, I bought this bag, a messenger style, brown bag, quite big, but purposefully not feminine to encourage my hubby to use it, which has worked.

The bag has really good pockets, a larger than usual changing mat, a space at the back for wet/dirty stuff... and now dd1 isnt' going through as many nappies, I can use it for a two day travel bag for her quite easily.

Anyhow, I'm having dc2 in December, and because we have everything we need from dd1, I'm thinking of treating myself to a more feminine bag basically with the same functionality and a bit more!

The bag I'm looking for:

  • is quite big, as I'll have two lots of cloth nappies
  • has a decent size section for dirty nappies
  • has pockets for my and dd1's drinks (hoping to bf again for dc2)
  • has a changing mat and pockets for wipes, cream etc
  • looks more like a handbag than a changing bag

I've also found how much stuff I want to take out depends on how long we're going out for. My ideal bag would have removable sections so I can add ones for what I'm taking.

Does this bag exist?!!

Have you looked at pacapod bags? They have removable pods for nappies and food. We have two different outer bags (one rucksack, one pretty) with one insulated food pod and two nappy pods, one which doubles as a backpack/reins for ds. Works for us and everything has a pocket! I use cloth too and can easily fit 2 all in one nappies, cloth wipes in a mini wetbag and a wetbag for nappies. If I use 2 part nappies I can fit 3 in the nappy pod with wipes/ wetbag too.

I was going to suggest pacapod too. I'm gonna buy one to treat myself (knowing how much the bag'll get used) they are quite expensive though.

I have the napier and the picos rucksack. Go for it ArtyJennie, you'll not regret it :) I did A LOT of research/ searching for the perfect bag before handing over my cash and I have never regretted my pacpod. I would love one of the leather ones but there's no way I could justify that to DH! PS he loves both bags too.

Walboo XL was fantastic for two in nappies, and spare clothes, drinks, snacks, my stuff, books, the kitchen sink and medicine cabinet Grin

Oo good tips ladies. I may awe if I can get a leather pacapod for an early Christmas present

I have the Koto one that Holly links to. Love it, but after 16 months the zip is buggered and not sure it'll hold up for our second baby (due late January). Might just be mine, but thought I'd give you a word of warning.

Am considering a pacapod - we too will have two in washables so will be carting loads of nappies round.
