I'm going to have to join you if thats ok!

I'm due today but have had no signs at all! It will be my first. I've tried all the things that are meant to get things started since week 38 (apart from walking as I have bad SPD) with no luck so far.

RichManPoorManBeggarmanThief · 01/08/2012 13:13

Ate my Greek salad- it was lovely Grin. Saw my doctor. She said baby's head still quite high up, but as to timing "after 39 weeks it's anyone's guess". BUT either I am having contractions, or I've got bad wind.

Going to be induced at 41 weeks if haven't gone into labour spontaneously by then.

Cheeseandonioncrisps · 01/08/2012 13:51

Fingers crossed RichMan that it's contractions!!

Superslinger · 08/08/2012 19:16

Definitely not just you cheese. I'm miserably sat waiting for something, ANYTHING at all. But nope. Big fat nothing since Saturday! :( x

Cheeseandonioncrisps · 08/08/2012 19:51

I've had 2 sweeps now and still nothing :( had a show yesterday morning and had some period pains/back ache but then today nothing......I'm so fed up and keep bursting into tears today I'm so uncomfortable with SPD I can't bare the thought of another 5 days of this (induction booked for monday) how's your little beauty doing cheeky? When were you due super? X

Cheekychops84 · 08/08/2012 19:53

I didn't think I was in labour as they were like painful braxton hicks so if u get more of these ur heading the right way !

Cheeseandonioncrisps · 08/08/2012 19:56

Fingers crossed cos I really don't want to be induced! On the birthball eating pineapple as we speak haha x

Superslinger · 08/08/2012 19:59

I was due on Sat. SPD making me cry too - especially in the night, keep waking up and completely despairing at the pain, and the thought of another god knows how many days I've got to sit around all day, in agony, essentially watching the clock tick because it hurts too much to walk anywhere. Boo! The biggest problem for me with all of this really is that it's too much time to worry - worried about baby being ok, worried about whether SPD will go (please god!) or not. Having first sweep on Sat but at the moment can't imagine it's going to work as body just seems completely normal - apart from hideous SPD! :( Grumble, grumble...

Yes, Cheeky, tell us lovely stories about life on the other side!

Cheekychops84 · 08/08/2012 19:59

Cheese I had that hun the sweep on the tue pains then by we'd nothing but we'd night frequent braxton hicks phoned hosp sed I'm sure I'm wasting your time but can I come in for u to check me ? They were fine the midwife said he going to give me another good sweep then walk for an hour which really kicked it off went back he broke my waters bingo an hour all over ! Can u ask for another sweep or sneakily go in for monitoring if your over they may offer u another one ? I had a male midwife he was brill with the sweep Grin

Super- the night time is horrendous isn't it trying to get to sleep while it feels like your pelvis is being ripped apart.Everyone keeps telling me to go for a long walk but I can barely hobble to the bathroom its got that bad, I think that's what's getting me down - the fact I'm in too much pain to go out anywhere so getting mega frustrated sat in the house.......cheeky- I had thought about going in for monitoring and seeing if they offer anther sweep but tbh I think this boy is in for the long haul! X

Superslinger · 08/08/2012 20:14

Exactly! I think I'd be soooo much better if I could just be a nice mobile heavily pregnant lady who can go for nice strolls etc. I look at other women with SUCH envy and almost awe at the way they're able to walk. It's definitely the cabin fever and the days dragging so much more because can't go anywhere that makes it so much worse. Poor us eh?! Oh, also, while I'm going on, why has nobody in RL even bloody heard of SPD?! I feel like people must think I'm making it up - especially women who have children themselves and have no experience or knowledge of it - i feel like they look at me on my crutches and think 'REALLY?!'

Cheeseandonioncrisps · 08/08/2012 20:28

Haha none of my RL friends family have ever heard of it either! makes me feel like such a fraud having crutches I've not used them as much as I should have Blush.......and as nice as people are by trying to keep me cheery with 'he will be worth it' and 'not much longer now' I'm ready to scream lol....sorry for being such a miserable cow :( do you know what your having super? X

Cheekychops84 · 08/08/2012 20:29

Well I spent all those days like u wishing her out now she seems so vulnerable I want her back in ha ha !

Cheeseandonioncrisps · 09/08/2012 18:13

Been having contractions every 10ish mins since bout 12.30 last night :D how you doing super? X

Superslinger · 10/08/2012 11:25

Hi Cheese, this end I had contractions every 20 mins from about 6 last night, then every 10 mins from 11-3 in the morning, then every 5 mins for a couple of hours, each one more and more painful. But then since then they've been working themselves back down! Still as painful, if not more, but first they went back to every ten minutes and now they're more like every 25, and they're not lasting very long either! :(

When I'd been getting the 5 mins ones in the night I called the labour ward to see if I should go in. They said no and to wait til it was every 3 mins. It's since then that it's gone in the opposite direction!

Feel so bloody deflated - really thought I was getting somewhere, but now feel back to square one!

How are you getting on?

Cheeseandonioncrisps · 12/08/2012 23:06

Well my littl boy was born at 01:58 11.08.12 weighing a whopping 10lb11 !! Hope you've had your LO super?? X

Superslinger · 17/08/2012 19:03

Congratulations cheese! I've now finally got my little poppet out too, I'd post weight but you just put me to shame with 10lb11! Wow! Well done us though, the wait seems so long ago now - and definitely worth every minute for the miracle at the end of it all! x

Cheeseandonioncrisps · 19/08/2012 16:41

Congrats super! At last the wait is over :D x

JasperMama · 19/08/2012 16:47

Due on Tuesday, lots of uncomfort, feel like baby is RIGHT there but... NOTHING

This is my third pregnancy but will be my second baby.

Hubby is back to work tomorrow after the weekend, he is praying it will be tonight. Jasper was 3 days early... so we can only hope

redandyellowbits · 19/08/2012 20:32

Due on weds, my third dc, nothing happening here either (apart from me moaning a lot).

How are you coping with the waiting? Feel like I am stuck in limbo at the moment!
