4D Scans

Hello everyone,

I am currently 25+4 weeks pregnant.

I had my last scan at 20 weeks and I feel like I want to see baby again, even though I know he's ok in there :)

What do people think of 4D scans? Have you ever had one? Would you recommend it?

I've always said I wouldn't get one, as to me all the babies seem to look the same etc.

Can people let me know their thoughts... Or is it just a waste of money that could be better spent on other things?

x

We are going for one on Saturday so will let you know afterwards if that's any use! :)

I had a 4D scan at about 26/27 weeks I think it was. DH wanted it more than me, think it helped him realise that it really was happening! DD did look a bit weird in there - bit alien like and freaky - but we both thought it was worth it, quite amazing really that you could see her so clearly! She yawned most of the way through it Smile. They are expensive, think ours was about £90 but got photos, DVD and CD of photos as well.

I'm 25+1 and were hoping to go around 28 weeks. DP saw photos of a 4D scan and then a picture of the baby when born and was so impressed so that's why we're going Grin hopefully we'll get some good photos. Think we've seen them around £100 and get 4 4D photos and 2 normal then £10 extra for a DVD, I think baby brain is bad today

You get a good deal in England they are more expensive here but we are still going for it :) Unfortunately baby will be 30 weeks so not sure we will see as much but they had no appts sooner - clearly it's popular! :)

I had one at 28 weeks. It was fab! It cost about £135ish. We used Babybond and we got photos and DVD. I felt like nothing was too much trouble. They spent ages with us, was a complete contrast to NHS scan (which are obviously for medical reasons and so have a very different feel to them) I enjoyed the experience of seeing a scan as 'fun' rather than a worry ie growth scan, anomaly scan etc. would reccommend.
