If im bored now i dunno what i will be like when i am off work and in the house all day alone i am dreading it! can anyone suggest anything you did to pass the time? except watch tv :(

When I was preg with ds I didn't work after 12 weeks because of temp jobs etc so I had 6 months of being preg at home!

I think I mainly met up with friends (who were at uni so had a fair bit of spare time!) saw my mum weekly as she had Fridays off.
Went shopping but had to be careful as money was tight because of me not working. Slept in the day (bliss!) watched films, went for walks down the beach.

I'm not one for staying indoors so tried to do at least one thing every day even if that was just going to asda and looking at the clothes. It did go slowly and I was bored alot but I had lots of time to make lists and prepare for the birth!

I can't wait for maternity leave and to be bored! 3 weeks of work left!

I plan to sleep, watch box sets, read, visit friends, sort house out, get baby things together, go to ante natal classes, have pedicures and a couple of massages, finish shopping for the babies, have my mum come and stay for a short while, go swimming. Hopefully this gives you some ideas.

I loved my time off before DD arrived. I had afternoon naps, I met up with friends who weren't working (my sister was also on maternity leave, which was lovely), I did nice little shopping trips - nothing exhausting or extravagant, just little odds and ends, mostly for the baby - and tried to clear up outstanding errands like getting shoes reheeled etc. I spent time in DD's room, washed her clothes to get the newness off, planned meals for after she came and set up an Internet shop that DH just needed to press the trigger on after the birth so I'd come home from hospital to all my favourite foods. I did bits of cooking to fill the freezer, I downloaded audiobooks for nighttime feeds, I stocked up on cards and stamps so I'd be able to send out thank you notes easily. I had friends over for dinner (DH was working away for much of the week) for company. I did buy a few books but didn't have the focus for them, so I joined FB (this was a few years ago now!). We had only just moved into our house so there was probably lots of stuff to do around that, but those things aren't what I remember.

hey i've been signed off work since 20 weeks (now 28) due to complications and was on full bed rest for a month, now on semi bed rest, can go out a bit but not allowed to walk very far, have to be horizontal for some of the day, and it is gonna be like this for another ten weeks (i hope - don't want them (twins) to come too early!

So i have been having to keep myself amused with fairly limited options due to bedrest. I've watched quite a lot of series but i find i don't really like watching too much tv during the day cos then if i watch it in the eve too i feel totally moronic. I've read a lot of books while lying on sun lounger in garden (i live in france so weather better here!), done lots of puzzle books (very granny-ish but quite enjoyable), listen various podcasts on my ipod, and i've done a lot of surfing the internet, investigating things i might buy etc! I've also become an expert in afternoon napping. But it is driving me crazy to not be able to prepare for the arrival of my babies as i would have liked. but then as long as they arrive healthy and not too soon, all this bordem will be worth it!
