Do Braxton Hicks mean that labour will be earlier rather than later?

I am 35 weeks pg with DC3, and having Braxton Hicks contractions today. I don't want the baby early, and I certainly don't want to have it this weekend as I am visiting the out in laws!

I didn't really have any BH with dd1, I did with dd2, and she was born 2.5 weeks before her due date.

Please tell me BH is not linked with early births?!

I don't think they're linked. although will probably be someone along later to prove me wrong but IME I had BH and she was 2 weeks late, dd2 no BH and she was a week early.

I don't think so. I had BH and DS was too weeks late.

Not in my experience, had loads of Bh all the way through with both mine and they were 14 and 11 days late Grin

Mind you, I suppose that doesn't rule it out. Just think how late they might have been without bh Confused Grin

I had Braxton Hicks with both DC. DS 11 days early, DD 4 days late

Oooh, thank you that makes me feel a bit better. I really want baby to be late, as we have ongoing renovations that are running late at home, so fingers crossed.

MIL has been at work all day, I was going to get dinner ready but can't be arsed don't feel up to it in between BH-ing.

Will give them half hour to subside and hope MIL comes home at starts dinner then start cooking.
