Hi, I have received so much help and advice from this site with some of my pregnancy woes to date. This is the most worried I have been though as over the last day my symptoms have just gone.

I had constant nausea and hunger since I found out I was pregnant, I even posted a few days ago about having a midnight breakfast. I also was plagued with so boobs and one Tuesday vomited for the first time.

Since Wednesday night my symptoms have virtually disappeared. I feel fine, am not feeling fantastic as I am worried that I have had a miscarriage but I don't feel I'll relating to being pregnant.

The problem is I'm going abroad tomorrow for over 2 weeks and i haven't had any appointments with my midwife (or contact at all). I phoned my GP but she is on holidays for 2 weeks.

I don't know what to do. Sad. I'm not going with dh so I'm terrified of having to cope with a mc alone.

Mine started to fade around this time and then came back for a bit but not as bad. Placenta is starting to take over about now so the preggie hormone starts to drop. My boobs went smaller and didn't hurt too about this time but now 20 weeks and they have started to get sensitive again and big ! Remember a MMC is thankfully rare, doesn't seem so on here because people come on here for support after bad news, if you have no other indication that you have or are miscarrying then the chances are you will be fine ! xxSmile

Mine started to fade with DD around 9 weeks - as PP said, your placenta is taking over.

If you were having a missed miscarriage (which is indeed rare - only about 1-2% of all pregnancies: it just seems very common since people generally only post the bad stuff...) then you would still be having symptoms since your body would still think it was pregnant. So unless you have other signs of a miscarriage, enjoy the break!

The odds and logic are massively in your favour that everything is just fine.

I was exactly like you with dd2...went from feeling totally hideous to pretty much OK overnight. She's now 9 Grin

P.S. I ought to say that I've also had 3 mc's including one mmc.....the symptoms on the mmc went more slowly than with dd2. Hope it all works out OK

I've been trying to speak to another GP at my local surgery but no one is available. I don't want to worry unnecessarily but it's hard not to feel anxious.

I think you are worrying unnecessarily, but I also understand how you're feeling.

Try NHS Direct? Or the hospital you're booked in at? Does it have an Early Pregnancy Unit you can call for reassurance? Forget your GP at this time on a Friday...

Pinkflipflop · 20/07/2012 15:21

Thanks for all the advice; I phoned the early pregnancy unit and spoke to a midwife who said that she's not concerned by anything I told her.

Hopefully things will be ok Smile

My nausea waned about 9 weeks..... but then came back. Symptoms have varied considerably over the last 3 weeks and also included cramping pain that made me stop and sit down. Midwife said it was normal and I heard babys heart beat earlier this week at 11+4 - can't wait for next weeks scan. Try not to worry though I know it's easier said than done.

Awesome - very glad to hear it.

Go and have a lovely nausea-free holiday! (not that I'm jealous much...!!).
