I have posted numerous threads on this subject so please dont get mad with me!

I am due in 9 weeks - i cannot choose a name i like.

So far we have:

Alfie - too chavvy?
Tom/Thomas
Harry

But nothing really grabs me - our surname is one syllabul so Jack, Luke, etc are out (hence Thomas/Tom)

Any suggestions?? TIA XX

suzywong · 05/03/2006 14:51

Lachlan, shortened to Lachy
awfully popular in Australia

Norbert is a good 'un

blueteddy · 05/03/2006 14:59

I hope Alfie isn't considered chavvy - as it is my DS2's name! I think it is a really cute name.
I also like Harry...but then I guess I would, as it is my DS1's name!

ajg · 05/03/2006 15:11

4blue1pink · 05/03/2006 20:24

I am on my fourth boy and he is 18 days old and nameless ! Dont fret...

\personally I like T'Boo its an African American name but dh wont Smile

roberta3 · 05/03/2006 20:32

Don't worry about it! We knew our second was going to be a boy but still didn't decide on his name (Callum) till he was 10 days. We now have three boys, all with two middle names, so have totally run out of names now. It's strange though that you can think you have decided on a name but it just doesn't seem to suit them once they've arrived. Our first was going to be Euan but we decided he was far more like an Alex!
It's worth looking at the top ten lists tho cos don't want yours to be the fifth of the same name in the class. Lots of 7 year old Josephs and 5 year old Jakes around here!

JoPG · 05/03/2006 20:33

LilacBump - good choice of name, we've got an 'ethan jack'.

cori · 05/03/2006 20:41

I am having the same problem.
Am leaning towards Nathaniel.

Mandymoo · 05/03/2006 20:48

Thanks for all your suggestions - have come up with a few others-

Nbg, the ONLY name we have for a boy is Dexter.
My other two are Rupert and Oliver.
Tobias is nice. Imo

Boopert · 05/03/2006 20:51

Oh, dh has just said he was thinking wither Sterling or Jenson (Yep, he's an F1 nut!)

blueteddy · 05/03/2006 20:52

Charlie is nice. Don't personally like Kieron, but this is due to the fact I work in a school & have come across lots of naughty Kieron's!

helencook2711 · 05/03/2006 20:53

Hey, am about to drop in 3 weeks don't know what flavour but our boys names our Brandon & Sonny. Can't agree on anything though!!

babyface · 05/03/2006 21:13

Love the Irish boys name Tadgh - said 'tige' as in tiger- Nearly called ds2 it but but thought it might be too complicated for him to explain all the time (you should hear my real name Wink). Regretted it ever since tho.

alliebaba · 05/03/2006 21:17
