Hi ladies!
I'm sure I'm not the only one who feels that, but by lunchtime, or early afternoon, I keep nodding of at work. LUCKILY so far at lunchtime, Not at my desk!
Have you got any idea, suggestion, what I could do? The last thing I want, falling asleep there! Blush
I'm 10 weeks and 2 days now, hope get more energy back soon, but at the moment I am still quite exhausted.

it's awful - I remember the feeling
can you go for a walk? fresh air helped me
and go to bed at 8pm or so

Can sympathise, couldn't keep my eyes open this afternoon and stupidly scheduled a 5.30 meeting. Almost phoned DH and asked him to collect me instead of the 15 min walk home. Have only moved from the sofa to go to bed. Am 11+3 It's meant to get better soon.......

Me too & only 7+4! So embarrassing & as no one at work knows think they all think I am bored when I am yawning my head off!Blush

I'm 23 weeks and still feel that way!

I don't normally have a lot of caffeine in my diet so found that if I drink a can of pepsi max and have a mini chocolate bar about an hour after lunch, that normally sees me through the rest of the day (still tired but not to the point of falling asleep!)

Have you told your work you're pregnant yet? Once you do, they have to provide you with an area to rest - www.babycentre.co.uk/pregnancy/work/maternityrights/#18

Pregnancy was the only time of my life I could successfully power-nap. Can you find somewhere to grab 5 minutes at lunchtime? Better to plan it than pass out halfway through the afternoon!

baby31 · 19/07/2012 20:53

Hmm It's a big company, and has quite a few empty offices. I think I must find one, sneak in at lunchtime at have a little snooze. Or at least to put my feet up and rest.
My direct bosses know, but I still feel bad. They never mentioned anything about resting room.
As of walk, sometimes I go, but by 4pm I feel my eyes are closing. ...Even tried the aircon, with no success! Grin.

Why not just ask one of your managers I you can use an empty office to rest in? I can hardly see them saying no...

It gets better in the second trimester btw! ( then worse again in the third)

Grin Thanks RJandA! (and all of you) I think I must. Today my eyes closed again.... how emberassing! Blush.
Not long now till I go home, I'm sure I can stay awake for another 15min! Wink, then I ask them on Monday.

Me too. I'm 20 weeks now and feel more tired in the afternoons at work than I did when I was in the first trimester. I find a handful of midget gems gives me the sugar boost I need to carry on until the end of the working day #notsureanutritionistwouldagree
