I had a MMC in May and am 6+1 today, I have had blood test on Monday and my HCg was 8091 and todays results should be in Friday.
However I have just had a phone call from my consultant booking me in at 9 weeks (9th Aug) to scan and check me and to then pencil me in for a cervical stitch. He saw my referral come through and has deemed me as highest prority so bi-passed the normal channels to get me in the system.

Now slightly panic'd bu everything :(

Well your first bloods sound promising and a scan at 9 weeks will be very reassuring.

Can I ask why he is penciling you in for a cervical stitch? Have you had an early labour from an incompetent cervix in the past?

My DS1 was born at 28weeks after a stitch was put in at 23 weeks when I was 6cm dilated and with DS2 they scanned me weekly and at 22 weeks I was 3cm so was taken for my stitch the next day, he was born at 33 by c section and I was 3cm dilated at that point!
I sort of knew it was coming but it has suddenly hit me how hard this will be and starting things at 9 weeks this is going to be a hell of a long pregnancy and I think hearing how high risk I am that I have bi passed the normal grading routes and my consultant is watching my bloods himself and even called me himself (every other time his secretary has),and when I go at 9 weeks he will book the stitch then - I told him I am aiming to get to 36 weeks this time and he just laughed and said thats very hopeful but not overly likely!
Also I have the worry I havent told work right now and wanted to wait till after 12 weeks but now thinking after the operation and trying to just take the week as holiday or something!

I'm not surprised you are finding things overwhelming, but try and think of his close observation of you as a good thing. If they can put a stitch in before you start dilating, then your aim to get to 36 weeks might be more realistic? (I am saying this with no knowledge about it though!)

I know what you mean about not telling work, but it's not the same as announcing your pregnancy to the rest of the world. Your manager will have to treat it as private information and it will make sure you are given the time to recover without the stress of work hanging over you.

Best of luck for everything ahead.
