Anyone had a 4D scan at these clinics?

Hi,
Just having a look at this 3D/4D scan malarky and was wondering if anyone had any experience of having one at the My Ultra Baby clinic in Kingston or the Babybond clinic in Wimbledon?

I'm still not sure if the whole thing is a bit frivolous and I know that views on them on here are a bit mixed but if I'm going to have one it would be nice to know if they're any good. Also if anyone has had a good experience at any other clinics local to the Wimbledony/Kingstony area it would be good to know.
thanks!

I went to Babybond, but in Southampton. I had a growth scan, but had a 4D "freeview". They were really nice, professional, helpful, took their time, discussed my concerns with me. Totally made up for the rushed 20 week scan I had on NHS where the sonographer barely spoke to me and then vaguely mentioned she had found a problem as she shooed me out of the door.
They were very generous with the images too, my 4D was only meant to be a free preview, but I got a about 10 images of my baby's face in 3D with no charge. They gave us a full report to put in my notes, with all the stats for placenta function etc. I also got a scan photo of his bits with an arrow saying "BOY" to confirm his sex Grin. We felt it was really worthwhile, and we aren't generally into gimmiky extras.

Oh I forgot to say, the photos I got are twice the size and a lot clearer than those from my NHS scans, and the screen at the clinic was huge and very clear too, so we got to see everything really clearly.

I went to babybond in Edinburgh and they were great. I didn't book an actual 4D scan as I was too early for that. It was a gender scan, but with a small amount of 4D. It was amazing. Like FutureNanny says, they took lots of time and showed you so manythings you don't get to see at the NHS one.

We aren't ones for frivolous things either, and only booke it because DH was unable to come to the NHS one and as it was our last baby we really wanted to know the gender.

We also got loads of images. Although I think we were supposed to get only 2. We took our DSes too and they loved it.

Oh, yes, everything is shown to you on a huge TV rather than a little computer screen

Another Babybond person here (Stirling).
With DD1 we had the full 4D and gender scan at 27 weeks, baby wasn't lying properly but we were sent away to have a sugary drink and DD1 performed better after that! We were there for about two hours in total and came away with loads of fantastic colour photos and a DVD.

With DD2, again baby wasn't 'performing' so we were sent away again for the 'can of fizzy juice and jumping jacks' treatment! Didn't make any difference when we went back in (DD2 had her hands over her face the whole time!) and so they made us an appointment to go back the next week. However exactly the same thing happened again and they couldn't get any decent images (Blush) and so they made a THIRD appointment for us! Third time unlucky, they explained that there was no point in trying to do a DVD and do just printed off the best photos for us and refunded half our money!

With DC3, we just had the gender scan (it's a boy, due in 11 weeks!) as we didn't want DD2 to be the only one with no DVD!

So in all we have been VERY impressed with them, especially with our experience during DD2s scan! Grin

I have been to Babybond in Wimbledon. I had the 4d free view thing as part of my gender scan. They are really nice, friendly and professional.

I haven't been to those clinics but I am another fan of Babybond.

The lady doing the scan couldn't have been more helpful as my baby couldn't have been more awkward!!! It took four attempts on the same day (the poor woman skipped her lunch to get us a picture - above and beyond!) but we got some good pics and a DVD and left very happy.

It is a bit frivolous, but lets face it there are some really shitty bits about being pregnant so something a bit fun is a welcome distraction. Its not an essential but if you can afford it and you fancy it then go for it. Of all the daft crap I bought for my first child the 4D scan was something I never regretted!
