Buying stuff you don't need

For all of us who have made and will make irrelevant purchases, here's a story about how marketers target new mothers, and how valuable new parents are to companies. A good thing to read before you go shopping!! What have you bought so far that you didn?t need? Anyone got recommendations of what products are completely irrelevant?

That's interesting. It's so tempting to just buy so much stuff before the baby comes. I'm 26 weeks with my first and the way I've resisted is that, at the moment, I have no house and hence nowhere to put stuff! A little drastic perhaps....

That stupid nappy wrapper thing ! Luckily we didnt buy it was a free gift it was a tommee tipee one! The refills were expensive took up space ! Easier to buy a pack of 20p nappy sacks and jus chuck them in the bin

See, I love my nappy wrapper! It always seems that you either love them or hate them. We didn't have one before DS was born, but went and bought one and I wouldn't be without it. The thing I bought but never used was a bouncy chair. Most babies seem to love them but DS hated it, and made sure everyone knew it.

Interesting article. My last sainsburies shop produced a voucher trying to persuade me to join their mother and baby club. I was wondering when they'd notice. Although i haven't bought masses of stuff so you could argue they're a bit behind as they only worked it out at 38 weeks :)
