Hi,
I am 5&2 and experiencing constant nausea, day and night. I'm waking up around 4am every morning, wide awake and it feels like my whole body is throbbing with nausea. Eating makes it worse so I'm eating little and often. Has anybody found things that help?

No nothing worked for me.
You'll get lots of suggestions, ginger, travel sickness bands, toast first thing in the morning, lemonade, salt n vinegar crisps etc. All worth a try, but for some women nothing works.

Its worth keeping an eye on it, especially if you're not eating or drinking much, make sure you don't get dehydrated.
If you think you are speak to your GP, you might have to be quite forceful, many seem to think you just have to put up with it - you don't if it's extreme, which yours sounds like it is. My GP was great about it but many are not from what I read on here.

I had hyperemesis this time, it's truly awful. Last time was not as bad but this time I just couldn't function & had to get some anti emetic tablets which helped a bit.

Check out the hyperemesis thread on here, you'll get some good advice & support there.

Hope it passes soon for you & congratulations on your pregnancy!

eating little and often has helped me. S&V crisps have been my saviour - I even eat then at 4am when the nausea wakes me up. I find that if I get it under control in the morning, the whole day is much improved. I also have a poached egg on w/m toast every morning. Things that help me are salt, protein (bland stuff like eggs) and complex carbs - white bread/rice etc really seem to mess with my blood sugar and send me spiralling into total meltdown.

Agree with HB though if it doesn't improve or you can't find a way to reduce it a bit, do go to your doctor.

I tried the s&v crisps and I was able to get back to sleep after I woke up at 5 :) Going to doctors this afternoon and going to ask for tablets as I don't think I can cope with feeling so dizzy and sick constantly.
