Hi,

Today i've had a really horrible ache near my right ovary and now it's moved down to my thigh! It feels like it's on the inside about half way down, a bit achey round the bottom of my back too...does this sound like Pelvic Girdle Pain? I know google is a really bad thing to do but the symptoms match what I have, except I can't find anywhere which suggests it can occur this early on?

Bit confused! Any advice?

Don't want to worry you, but it could be, although some of my friends had that sort of pain early on then it vanished. I developed pgp at 26 weeks and at nearly 37 weeks now it isn't much fun. Knowing what I know now, at any signs like you mention, you should:

Whilst walking, take lots of smaller steps rather than striding
Walk more carefully up and down stairs
Try and keep your knees together when sitting down and getting out of cars
In bed, put a cushion under your bump, behind your back and between your legs - although at 32 weeks, my friend gave me her preg cushion which helped
Also, a softer mattress or surface to sleep on helps
If you can find any, vest tops with lots of lycra that go under your growing bump are great for support, some places sell those stretchy maternity bump belt things too
As soon as you are able, you should be able to self-refer to physio, or see your gp/midwife first

Sorry if I'm rambling, I just hope you don't get it, as its really unpleasant on top of being pregnant. Hope this helps. x

Thankyou! I know I can be a bit of a hypochondriac and every twinge needs to be diagnosed haha so you're advice is really helpful :) it's still here this morning although its less in my thigh and more behind my right hip and bum cheek.
