"Agreed pathway" on notes - what does that mean?

I was flicking through my notes taken by the midwife at booking, and saw a mention of "agreed pathway" for which the midwife had written "amber"
Any idea what this means?

I cannot remember her saying anything about this

Iirc it's to do with what risk you are. Mine was red so high risk and iirc again there was a booklet explaining all the abbreviations.

thanks hermione - I can't find the booklet anywhere. Will ask at next appointment.
Not quite sure why I am amber or what exactly influences the colour of the status. I would have thought I'd be low risk; the only issue in last pregnancy was that DD refused to ever descend / come out after 3 days of induction.

This wasn't something that was in my notes (DS born in April) sought be something that varies slightly from area to area (I was a high risk PITA Wink)

They jus wrote on mine high risk due to bmi of 37 then when isaw a consultant at the hospital she sed rubbish and scribbled it out and put low risk (2 previous straightforward pregnancies and births went straight home with both of them) then saw a GP for 36 week check who said no you are high risk cause ur bmi (I've put on like a stone) now 37 weeks so in my opinion they are all arguing over weather I'm high or low ! I'm guessing Amber is in-between ? Y dnt they use this for me? Silly nhs

The fact is, I very much doubt it will be reflected in my care at all since there is nothing pregnancy related which could put me in amber or red. Same appointments, same tests etc... The delivery, on the other hand, may be a bit more tricky.
Yet again, after 4 days on the ward last time, and obvious signs that all was not well, I still got tonnes of conflicting advice, opinions from every registrar or midwife on the ward, and clearly pissed off the consultant for not going back home at 42 weeks after three rounds of failed induction.

I'm on the amber pathway, and apparently it's because with DD1 I was 'small for dates' and had low amniotic fluid late on and so was induced slightly early. In practice all it seems to mean is that I am to get extra growth scans at 32, 36 and 38 weeks (though it's not at all apparent that I'll have the same issue this time!). The mw did explain this to me at my booking appt.

thanks Morag - will ask for an explanation at next appointment - it will not be the same midwife (been transferred to the community team) but hoping she will be able to explain...
