I really need some help!

22wks and in agony now. 2nd DC and pain started at 8wks this time.... I am seeing osteopath, doing the right things etc but its still painful.

I work long full time hours in a sitdown office job and I think it is that that is causing the most issue.

I am planning to get a ball to sit on at work next. What else are you doing to help? I really dont want to get signed off as I have lots of work I want to do before I go on mat leave....

Please share your tips!

I'm just trying cushions (as it seems to be hard surfaces that set it off) and getting up regularly :(

thanks fluffy, a cushion when on a chair will help... though might start piles related rumours :)

Do you have a decent chair?

I got a ball and it was taken away from me because it was against health and safety.....they're still looking for the H&S officers body Wink

You should be having a workstation assessment/ergonomic assessment, has this taken place? You normally have them when you start with a company and then every time you move desks or if you are pregnant. When I was diagnosed with SPD I told my boss & HR and they arranged to bring this appointment forward. I was then given a chair which was more 'bendy' and did all sorts of things, including inflating at the back! It helped a bit but I used to take a hot water bottle in with me and sit with it on the front of my pelvis - that helped a lot! I managed to work until I was almost 37 weeks but I was on crutches and my boss let me work from home if I couldn't manage to get in. DH also used to give me a lift/pick me up every day. Would your boss let you work from home occassionally if you explain the pain you are in?

Thanks- I was concerend that a ball might be confiscated!

Your chair sounds good. is it one of these ?

I work partly at home and partly at office and both locations cause same issues. I had a ball at home but it broke so I need a new one at home. Office (3d/wk) is more of the issue. I am on client office so its hard to dictate what they do re H&S. My main company is very hot on H&S and is supporting me, i think there are just limited options to help other than not sitting down !
