Newborns and Prams

Hi, MIL has just brought one of those 2 in 1 pram buggie thingies, I think it is a Inglesina ?
My question is how do you not lose your newborn in the pram ?! The pram section looks massive and I am worried that when I go up and down kerbs the baby will keep shunting forwards and backwards ! Is there some sort of liner that you can put in to make the pace slighty smaller while the baby is small. Believe it or not this is my third baby but have used buggies with my other two as it had a lay flat feature therefore they were strapped in.
TIA xx

I don't know if there's a liner but there must be something on the market. DD was born at the of Autumn/early Winter and I remember putting lots of layers on her and then wrapping blankets over her, she didn't move an inch. Then again are you having a summer baby? I think I would feel the same!

You can easily make a little cocoon for them if you want by rolling a towel up into a snake and making an upside down 'u' which you can put under the sheet/blanket and snuggle them in. DD loved being cocooned up in that in the pram and Moses basket.

Baby is due early December so will have lots of blankets ! Somersaults that's a fab idea ! Cheap too [winks]. I have my own shop so wanted the pram as baby will be coming to work with me and needs somewhere decent to sleep but it will be a new experiance for me !

The midwife showed me that when she wouldn't sleep in the hospital bassinet and it was great for us.

Just remember to make sure their head is not surrounded by the towel 'u' it should go from shoulder round feet to other shoulder, no higher.

Also shown by NICU nurse for small babies in big cots!
