Just looked for a thread about this but I can't find one...so, if you have a moment, could you try to recall when you began to feel a bit less sick, tired and hormonal?

I've been readin about how the placenta is supposed to take over with the hormones around 12 weeks, but I'm clinging to this desperately as I'm 11+2 and still feeling really ropey.

I don't think I can take much more.

Thankyou Smile

12 weeks, for me.
Up until then I was coming home from work, going straight to sleep on the sofa, and only getting up to eat. I was also feeling nauseous in the mornings and mid-afternoon, not even being able to keep down a multivitamin pill.
At work, I'd struggle to stay awake, and the thought of exercise was a joke.

But the turning point came at 12 weeks and now, at 22 weeks, I'm still feeling fine.
I'm exercising (a bit), back to 7 hours of sleep a night and going out dancing til 3am just like I used to - only now it's cheaper as I can drink lime and soda all night and drive home. Hooray!

I was desperate to get to the 12 week mark too. I started feeling human again at about 16 weeks. I am still sick once a day (in the morning) but that awful nausea is gone.

SimplySoo · 26/06/2012 13:26

For me around 14 weeks. It's a gradual process, instead of feeling sick every day it became every other day, now at 22 weeks I'm so much better than I was, but still feel tired a lot. Hang in there!

EmilieFloge · 26/06/2012 13:35

Thankyou so much everyone, this really helps. It is the nausea that is getting me down more than anything. Everything seems to smell so awful, when I know it doesn't really.
Hoping that things let up in the next few weeks.

Thanks again Flowers

I'm at 7 weeks and 3 days and feeling really rubbish too! Not sleeping, feeling queasy and exhausted and depressed, when I just want to be excited about my baby! This thread made me feel better that it's not going to be for too much longer in the grand scheme of things so thanks guys :)

MrsRT · 26/06/2012 15:58

I too am suffering badly with hormones, mood swings and feeling exhausted 99% of the time! I am 8 + 2. Today I have been feeling worse than I have felt yet, very tearful and down :(

I also can't wait to get past this stage, I feel like a miserable teenager again. All I do is eat, sleep and walk around with a face like a slapped a$$! Just call me Kevin!!!

rogersmellyonthetelly · 26/06/2012 16:24

12 weeks ish I started having the odd good day. By 14 weeks I had more good days than bad. You are nearly there!

EmilieFloge · 26/06/2012 16:29

Oh lovely...Aimee I'm glad if it's helping! it's helping me. Just knowing that there is an end in sight I think.

Last time I was pg was five years ago, and I can't remember how bad I felt at this point - I did write on here about feeling slightly better at 13-14 weeks though and properly better by 18 weeks, so that's a kind of guide but it's too long really Smile so I hope this time it is sooner.

Roger, thankyou...MrsRT, sorry you are feeling crap too. It goes very fast from 7/8 weeks to 11, I can't believe I am here already. I just saw my friend as well who I hadn't seen for months and she is 13 weeks, I didn't know she was pg too - she said she still feels a bit rough but much better than she was.

So that's good. I could sleep for England at the moment, but it's the feeling sick that really bothers me...luckily it isn't constant, I know others have it much worse, I'm lucky enough to have meds to take which I think help a lot and it comes and goes...just when it comes it's horrible.

Roll on the let up for us all.

14 weeks for me, and like others it was a gradual process. But take each achievement as it comes - one day I wasn't sick, another day I managed to clean the bathroom. The energy boost didn't come until about 18 weeks.

Good luck
