Im 12 weeks pregnant and have had nausea and sickness on and off since week 5. The last 3 weeks it seems to have got worse though, vomiting every day and feeling sick all day pretty much. Also have found that I feel really sick when travelling in a car! Dont know if its normal to get travel sick in pregnancy??
Anyway im going on holiday on Saturday and ill be in the car for 6 hours (im dreading it as know I will be ill the entire journey!)
Someone mentioned anti sickness wristbands, anyone know what they are and if they work?
And any other tips for me??
Xx

you mean these:

I had these, I think they are a load of rubbish (placebo imo) but some people swear by them- might be worth giving them a try. You can get them in boots/chemists.

I wouldn't have been able to do a 6 hr journey when i was going through the worst of my sickness/hyperemisis. (i'm a wuss!) But if I did I guess i'd take lots of breaks, have the air con alternate with open windows. Try sucking on travel sweets (this helped me slightly when not travelling too). Eat little and often and keep plenty of sick bags and baby wipes with you!

Try to travel at a time of day when your sickness isn't at its peak (evenings were worse for me) And avoid traffic jams if poss!

Best of luck!

The only time I get car sick is when I'm pregnant! I have a packet of extra strong mints which I suck to help with the nausea, keep the window open a bit at all times even when it's raining/freezing. Can't travel as a passenger at all though!
