Highcliffe/Dorset is Poole only option for high risk?

Will be on holiday in Highcliffe when 36 weeks. Obviously not expecting to go into labour early but if so should I head for Poole. I have had two previous csections and I will be due to have this one by csection too.
Thank you

Poole is a good hospital. Bournemouth hospital is is nearer as it is just the other side of Christchurch.

But if you need it and have a bit extra time. The Princess Anne hospital in Southampton is fantastic. had my DD there (and also the original hospital in One Born Every Minute). Staff are fantastic, and as it is a teaching hospital they have everything. They only deal with maternity and "women's things".

Thank you. Hadn't though of Southampton. have a feeling Bournemouth don't take high risk. Maybe I am wrong.

Bournemouth dont do high-risk. I was sent to Poole with both dds. I was pleased with the care I got there.

Bournemouth don't do high risk. A close friend of mine had her baby in Poole and was very pleased with the care there. It is the hospital for Dorset that others will refer to so is very well equipped should you need anything.

I live 3 miles away over the border and have a choice between Bournemouth (Poole if complications) and Southampton (although I'll start at the MLU and transfer if needed). Both have excellent facilities and reputations, and are where other hospitals in the area transfer their high risk mat patients :)

Bournemouth is a small unit, the advice my mw gave is that if anything happens i go straight to Princess Anne - the maternity department is separate to but near Southampton General.

From here, Bournemouth is easier than Southampton, which is easier than Poole...

Bournemouth is a midwife led unit so you won't be able to have a c section there. Poole is a good unit, and is closest, and Southampton is good too. Both get busy so any hints of labour I'd call early.
