Hi
I'm 15 + 2 and unless my scales ae wrong it doesn't look like ive gained any weight yet! I have the tiniest bump. Should I be worried? ( I'm 8.5 stone normally and still at the same weight)
Partner tells me to stop worrying so really looking for some reassurance....
Thanks

Remember that there are some women who don't realise they are pregnant until late pregnancy (even labour!) they haven't had much weight gain and barely any bump. The stories I've heard of this are with smaller, active women with strong stomach muscles which presumably hide baby rather well!

Larger women may also find that they put on little or no weight. My mum said that with each pregnancy she put on less weight, till by her 6th she lost weight whilst pregnant.

I'm 35+6 weeks and I'm about the same as what I was at booking in at 10 weeks. I'd put on a bit of weight between conception and booking in (run up to Christmas...) then I lost weight, approx 10lbs, from 10-20 weeks (back to healthy eating + morning sickness) and have then slowly put it back on till I'm back up to my booking in weight. Obviously (hopefully!) I've got a few weeks left so I might put on a bit.

I was about 6 stone overweight to begin with, so it was important for me to minimise weight gain. I expect that once the baby has been born and my body starts getting back to its normal self that I'll be quite a bit less than when I started - maybe about the weight I was mid-pregnancy with morning sickness? It would be nice to lose an extra few pounds though so I can weigh less than DH Grin

I'm normally a similar weight to OP, am currently about 14wks and haven't gained any weight either. Odd thing is though, I tried on a dress which I bought several months ago for a wedding this summer and it won't do up. There's a good inch gap at the side of my bust! Bizarre!

I'm 15w, and have put on about 1-2kgs. I do have a bump, but it's only visible to me. With clothes on it's all but invisible, and everyone keeps telling me I'm not showing at all.

Remember also, the women you're being compared to may be "eating for two" and have put on more weight than they should. It's quite common for people to eat constantly to avoid feeling ill also, and again put on more weight than the books say they should.

I've read over all you should put on about 16kg, overall at the end, and that's mostly baby/placenta/water etc.
