I joined, and it's tosh as far as I can see. Boots one is brilliant- I buy formula from there and the points pay for the nappies- two birds with one stone- only get points on formula over 6 months though. Bought other stuff from there like equipment and it all adds up eventually. Asda= free pack of newborn nappies, sainsburys= free pack of wipes and vouchers. I joined as many as I could find!

With the sainsburys club, you get a voucher to get the huggiesstarter pack, which has the best changing mat for your changing bag - the only good thing I can say about huggies!!

Also join mamas and papas mailing list, you get e vouchers for £5 or £10.

Mother care too, handy vouchers which made my angelcare monitor, £99 for £47, (price match, weekly offer and voucher) that's a bargain!!

Agree about boots, I've got over £40 on card at the mo and baby is only seven weeks old - clothes are bit expensive there though, but the vouchers you get as part of their club are vouchers for things that you would buy, not just token gestures - and when you present them to the staff, they try ti make sure that you use the right vouchers so that you get the best deal and more points!

Just remember that joining baby clubs means lotsof emails!!

Tell me about Boots, I've not really used them so far? How many points do you collect on formula?

Asda, Tesco and Sainsburys (and I think Boots) do baby events every 4 months or so I think, someone correct me. Nappies, wipes, bath products etc all go on offer, I personally think Asda are the best and put other things on offer too. Have bought door bouncer, inflatable ring and stair gates all from Asda baby event.

I also signed up to Huggies and Pampers online, they gave me free vouchers. Wait until the nappies are on offer and then use the vouchers. I saved mine, Huggies were reduced down to £3.38 for 36 nappies, I used £3 off voucher they gave me and got them for 38p. Emma's diary is a good site too as they tell you about lots of offers. I also use Amazon's subscribe and save for nappies, wipes and formula. Nappies are usually cheapest on Amazon unless their is a baby event on elsewhere. When a baby event starts stock up!! If you overbuy nappies you can swap them for another size.

I'm also a nappy tart and although DD mainly lives in branded nappies if there is nothing on offer then I will buy cheaper, Asda Little Angels are very good, as are Aldi nappies. Believe it or not Aldi nappies actually get a big thumbs up from lots of mums!

My tip to you is to keep all of your vouchers together (you will get loads) and then dig them out when you go shopping, just remember to check the date!

The formula is £8 a tub and I use two tubs approx a week. You get 10 points per pound for baby stuff so I get 160 points a week. Tend to get wipes etc from boots as there's always some on offer. Easy to rack up the points and if you have enough the points can be used for delivery too- but you can pick up from the shop for free. Currently have a load of vouchers for spend £20, get £5 off so taking full advantage of that. Lasts till the baby is two years so very happy overall.

That sounds really good! Being able to collect all those points must have so many benefits

I sound like I'm advertising for them but I've got to buy my DS nappies and formula etc so might as well get something back for them Grin

NewMummyGeorgina · 18/06/2012 13:54

I understand that completley! Do they offer any advice services?

OP posts:
Elkieb · 18/06/2012 14:07

What kind of advice?

NewMummyGeorgina · 18/06/2012 14:25

Advice for mums, or is it just a club so you can get benefits of savings?

They send you a lot of stuff via email and post but I guess you have to take it with a pinch of salt. They are after your money after all! I might be able to help you- what do you want to know? X
