I'd phone your GP tbh, if it persists?

morecoffeemorecoffee · 14/06/2012 10:26

How many weeks are you?

OnlyWantsOneTwoAndThree · 14/06/2012 10:44

31 weeks

Phone your midwife team, it sounds like low blood pressure. Try lying down but please also call for help.

morecoffeemorecoffee · 14/06/2012 10:47

Hmm, I would give your gp/midwife a call. I used to get shakey/faint/sick. Was nothing they could do and lasted most of pregnancy on and off, but I think as its not been a regular thing for your pregnancy you should have a chat with them. Hope you feel better soon.

OnlyWantsOneTwoAndThree · 14/06/2012 10:58

Laying on the sofa feeling very faint and sick. Have tried calling midwife and goes to answer phone on her mobile

nunnie · 14/06/2012 11:19

I would ring GP, or even ring hospital ante natal clinic and see what they suggest. Might suggest GP but worth a try.

morecoffeemorecoffee · 14/06/2012 11:25

I agree. Ring gp.

OnlyWantsOneTwoAndThree · 14/06/2012 11:29

GP going to call me. Receptionist was very curt Hmm I can't drive down there (drs is 1/2 hour away)

Urgh. Dd2 has just trashed the sitting room. I can't get up.

missingmymarbles · 14/06/2012 11:32

Leave a message on your midwives mobile to get back to you, as well.

forevergreek · 14/06/2012 11:51

Tell doctors you need someone to come and see you ASAP as you have dependable young children in the house and they could get hurt themselves and would be upset etc if you actually faint

Loislane78 · 14/06/2012 19:42

Are you ok OP?

OnlyWantsOneTwoAndThree · 15/06/2012 08:55

I feel exhausted Sad
Neither the doc or the MW called me back Hmm

OP posts:
mrswee · 15/06/2012 10:11

Are you serious? call the doctor now and make sure you egt to speak to someone. tell them you don't feel safe to drive down there and and make a complaint that no one called you back yesterday. good luck!

missingmymarbles · 15/06/2012 12:01

That's appalling.
Agree with mrswee.

Lovemarmite · 15/06/2012 12:18

On the Due on August thread, there's been quite a few of us with similar feelings. Saw mw yesterday and was told it was low blood pressure and I'd have to sit down when feeling faint etc I also got jittery this morning and couldn't speak very loudly too.
Also on iron supplements too as anemia seems to be common around this time. Have you had your 28 weeks bloods taken and received the results?
I would get the receptionist to make your doctor call you, I find a little cry helps at them and that's the only time I can then speak to my GP - crazy!
Hope you feel better soon and get it checked out asap

TinkerMaloo · 15/06/2012 12:24

Sometimes the NHS is utter shit! Dont let them palm you off!

OnlyWantsOneTwoAndThree · 15/06/2012 16:47

i took my own BP with my dad's BP machine and its 100/60

I feel fucking terrible, like ive had some virus thats flawed me, i ache all over and literally standing up takes all my effort

kids are practically fending for themselves

OP posts:
kat1885 · 15/06/2012 17:31

That's what my bp is normally and throughout any pregnancies, however it is the lowest it can be before they worry and if that isn't normal for you you will feel like crap. What is your bp normally?

OnlyWantsOneTwoAndThree · 15/06/2012 20:30

Booking in appointment my BP was 150/90

Haven't had it done since though

DP is finally home and looking after me sodding off out taking the dog for a walk

iwantbabies · 15/06/2012 20:44

I don't mean to sound harsh but there is clearly a need for you to be checked out by a doctor or midwife urgently. If I was you, I'd be straight up to A&E or at least on the phone to NHS24 for advice. It may be something, it may be nothing but I wouldn't risk leaving it any longer.

ViolaCrayola · 15/06/2012 20:53

I would phone your delivery unit or whatever your 24 hour maternity service is. Number should be on your notes. They should listen and can refer you on if necessary. Poor you, hope you feel better soon.

kat1885 · 15/06/2012 20:56

Yes do get it checked that's a huge drop.

OnlyWantsOneTwoAndThree · 15/06/2012 21:08

is it really a big drop?

oh, crapsies

i just want to stay in bed :(

Chubfuddler · 15/06/2012 21:10

Day assessment unit. Now. And when you're feeling better complain to the superintendent of midwives about your shit mw not returning your call.
