I would like to know how any of you who have had predicted weights for the baby turned out. Was it way off, close, exact? How many predictions did you have? How close was the last prediction to birth?

I've had estimates since 22 weeks and am wondering how things will go!

DS1 was big, so I had growth scans with DS2. From about 27 weeks they started saying he was big - I had 4 "late" scans (roughly 27, 32, 35 and 37 weeks - not all "growth" scans, there were other reasons but growth was always checked). Predicted weight was well over 10lbs - think the last one I was given was 10lb6. He was 8lb 10, and a very normal length too.

You can download a personalised growth chart here, based on your details and the details of any babies you've had previously. It's very straightforward and gives you a more accurate view on how your baby is growing based on what's normal for you. When you're putting your details in, 'parity' is how many babies you've had before.

It's a good use of a spare 10 minutes :o
