Anyone else having to sleep upright?

I'm so fed up. So tired! Still got 7 weeks to go!
I always used to sleep on my back but obviously now I can't, I try sleeping on my side but just can't get comfortable no matter how many pillows, wedges or whatever I use.
The latest thing is feeling sick when I lay down now so have had to start trying to sleep upright.
I just am not sleeping well at all. I expected to be uncomfortable, I expected to be tired but I didn't expect it to be like this!
Does anyone have any tricks that might help?
:)

Poor you :(

Do you have one of those full length pregnancy pillows? I got mine for a tenner from Argos. Still uncomfortable but am able to sleep for a few hours interrupted with it if I wriggle around enough and position it right.

Also, have you tried one of those v-shaped pillows? It might help to prop up your head a bit...

Hope this helps a bit and you're able to get some sleep soon

Hi Emily, thanks for your reply!
I position my pillows in a V, I've rolled up the spare duvet into a squidgy full length prop, use a skinny pillow as a wedge for the bump, I nap in the day but I just can't seem to get enough sleep!
I'm sure I'm not the only one, I do think I should just zip it and get on with it but think I've reached desperation point where I'm just so tired. Sorry!
:(

That's totally understandable, you poor thing! Sleep deprivation is not what you need right now, its miserable :(

Glad you're able to nap in the day, at least that means you're getting some rest, but its not ideal! Is this your first? I'm wondering if a long walk before bed might exhaust you into sleep, regardless of your position?

Yeah, this is my first, I always said I'd love 2 kids but I don't know how people survive pregnancy with another child to look after!
I walk the dog about 5 times a day as I can't seem to go very far but I'm starting to think I should cut out my nap to make sure I'm exhausted for bed time. I only have the nap to be more awake and less moody when dp comes home from work.

Aww bless! I wouldn't worry about being moody, you're doing all the hard work after all!

Sounds like you're doing a lot more exercise than I have done, so my idea may not work...
