alexsmum · 22/02/2006 11:10

if you don't want to break the happy news ,say you're on anti biotics.

cece · 22/02/2006 11:13

yes I did that the last 2 times but all my friends know me and can see though such an obvious lie!

Normally that wouldn't stop me you see

nowanearlyNicemum · 22/02/2006 11:14

can't believe the drs mess around with pathetic tests.
over here just do a blood test straight away. at least you know where you are with that!!
congratulations by the way !!

coppertop · 22/02/2006 11:23

When I was pregnant with ds2 the doctor said that it was their policy to send a test off to the lab but that the lab were notorious for getting it wrong. Her advice was that if the lab test came back negative she would just go along with the positive result that I'd got with the home-test. They now don't bother with the lab tests at all. If you say you got a BFP at home they just go along with that.

I have been pregnant twice and the doc never had any test done. She just took my word for it and referred me to the midwives. Surely they can't refuse you antenatal care?

Missmibaby · 27/02/2006 10:07

Just did another test this morning and its BFP!!!Grin.

Wonder what my GP will say when I tell him.

Congratulations!!!!

My GP did not test when I was pg with DD (now 5) or DS (2.5).

I told him that I 'thought' I was pg and had done a home test. He asked if it was positive. I said yes, and his reply was - well, you are pg then.

Missmibaby · 27/02/2006 16:03

I should send him the bill shouldn't I. I'll hang oon to them for now, but if all goes well I may be giving them away on mn soon.
