Has anyone been pregnant with antibody problems, particularly with scans showing increasing MCA flow levels (still mild) and yet made it too being full term without being induced ?

My best friend is rn and has four children. Her first two weren't too much trouble and went ft, planned section with dc2.

Dc3, quite poorly, baby had blood transfusions a few times through out of, born couple of weeks early as risks were too high.

Dc4, lots and lots of transfusions for baby while in womb. C section planned for 35 weeks.

All babies absolutely fine. Dc4 had to have a couple of blood transfusions after birth.

This your first ? Second? How's things going?

Fourth baby (third with antibodies, just lights with DC3).

One consultant is doom and gloom and things are getting worse, early inducement may be needed. Other consultant very unbothered. I find the different opinions confusing and upsetting.

Friends dr in Manchester was amazing. Very blasé about everything so as not to worry friend, but fab in every way.

I would say if one is upbeat then try not to worry about the other. You'll be well aware of all the risks and some drs are very gloomy IMO.

When are you due? Hope all goes well for you.

Sorry silly question but is rhesis disease the same as being rn? I've been told im rn should I be worrying or looking out for something? I know i need to watch out for any knocks to my bump or traumas. Im booked in for anti d injection later on. Will I not make it to full term? Very confused. 1st do sorry if I sound stupid!

RN is fine if it's your first Bella. It's only with subsequent babies that it may, in rare cases, be a problem and only then if the baby isn't also RN. (I am RN, my dd is + and I was given a further injection after she was born, following the one I had after the amnio I had)

Bella, Like Bucharest said your first baby won't be affected by Rhesus disease. Plus as you have standard RN you are lucky enough to have a treatment i.e. Anti D injections which hopefully will prevent your antibodies from ever being a problem in the future pregnancy.

What I have is Rhesus Positive with antibodies which sadly has no direct treatment other than waiting and hopeing the baby does not react and treating the baby if/when required.

Thanks Boys, I'm 30 weeks pregnant atm.
