Hi!

I'm 27+3 and just wondering when BH usually start? I am sure I woke up a couple of times last night with tightening sensations accross my bump, but it may have been as I was turning...not sure.

What's your experience?

Frilly

Apparently they happen from 7 weeks but we don't feel them. I had them early with my 1st (I think 20-22 weeks) and have felt them even earlier this time - from around 16 weeks!

i had the very same sensation this morning (am 27 weeks). My bump felt very hard and tight for a moment. I don't recall having them this early when pregnant with DD.

Apparently dehydration can increase them so make sure you're topped up on water! I always think of them as a good thing - uterus practising to eject the baby efficiently Grin

I got them from about 14 weeks - good practice though. Not sure if they helped but I had a good birth experience :-)

I'm 37+1 and haven't had any yet!! Not everyone gets them according to my MW (or at least not everyone feels them - I guess they are still happening?).

Oooh, so the tightening I've been feeling could be BH? Exciting stuff!

I never had them. Sad

I felt them from 16 weeks for sure. my OB was a bit shocked and said that was early, and was i sure it wasn't gas, but sure enough now at 24 weeks they have strengthened and are definitely BHs with tightening and so on.

very normal to feel them at your stage i think.
