Hi,

I'm 32 weeks pregnant but only measuring 30cm. Have to go for a scan next week to check baby's growth and liquor volume. Has anybody else been in this situation and what did it mean for you and your bump?

Thank you for your honest responses. I know it could be nothing to worry about but just wondering what it could mean and what they might do about it.

xx

Hey my ds born at 38+3 measure exactly on the cm for number of weeks and was a tiny 5lb 12oz so I really think its nothing to worry about! Am measuring 2cm too big for this one but the midwife said they allow 3cm either way so am suprised you are being sent for a growth scan for only 2cm as like others have said its not an exact science!

Hi ladies,

Sorry only just replying. Thank you all so so much for all of your responses. I had the scan and everything was fine - baby is measuring average size and liquor volume normal. The sonographer said that I was measuring small because the baby was positioned so low down. I am now 34 weeks and measuring 33cm so a bit of a catch up!

Thank you all again x

I was measuring about the same as you at that stage with DD - went for an extra scan and the ob was a bit Hmm and said 'why did they send you in? you're slim and you'll have a smallish baby'

Ended up with a 8lb9oz-er!

I don't think the tape measure thing the MW does is a very exact science.
