crossed with a dalek !

im now 36 weeks and for months my other half has taken to wearing cotton wool in his ears, last night it was so bad though he got up, got dressed and went and slept on the couch, waking me up in the process who even denied id been asleep yet (it was 3 in the morning, so obviously had!!)Smile

I always wake up with a mouth full of phlegm and sometimes have struggled to breathe through the night so i can only sleep with my mouth open, is there anyone else who has had this, im thinking of getting those breath right strips but i dont know if theyll work, im desperate really, i struggle to sleep without him next to me and was awake myself most fo the night after he left the room.

I've had it/got it...its not as bad as it has been earlier on in the pregnancy. I'm 39 +1 and its kinds of settled down. I do need to clear my tubes first thing in the morning Wink then I'm okay for the rest of the day. DH has accepted his fate :)

me too!!!! so lovely to hear im not the only one, my dh tried to record me as i am adamant i do not snore i know i do i have woke myself up with, mine is getting worse at 29 weeks, i feel congested all behind my nose down to my throat, and my dangly bit feels swollen and sore, probably from breathing through my mouth, i have also considered the breathe right strips so will be interested if anyone has used them, i also think my dh has accepted his fate :)

My DH went out and bought me a box of Breathe Right strips - coming home and finding me on the sofa, fast asleep and sounding like a fog horn was the final straw Grin. He actually recorded me on his iPhone! (I had to agree, it was a horrible, horrible noise!)
The strips certainly reduce the snoring, they don't eliminate it (but hey, he's probably not silent all night himself) - the only thing I don't like about them is they are really sticky and peeling them off your nose every morning is a bit harsh on the skin.
I'm 37 weeks, so the end is in sight for DH anyway! Grin

I have been doing this too, I'm 23weeks!! I keep waking up my OH and he is shattered!!

Not just the snoring, the "night terrors" where I wake him up by screaming in his face on a night!! Poor man! I know I snore but these night terrors are news to me!!

mrfreeze · 21/05/2012 15:50

I had a night terror a few days ago that someone was trying to break into my nans house 9she lives alone) i woke dp up screaming we had to go and save my nan cos someone was going to hang themselves in her back room. god knows what id eaten to make me have that nightmare.

ive also started sleeping the opposite side to him like top n tail, that was due to me needing more space for my many cushions Smile. ill try that again tonight, aswell as (sorry) clearning my nasal passages and throat before going to bed and if all else fails ill try the breathe right strips as anything i can do will probably help.

to be fair hes a snorer himself but i just kick him to shut up - if he dared kick me he'd be on the couch for quite a long time snoring or no snoring!

Guess we're fortunate as DH has been demoted to the spare room, as a) I'm snoring for England and b) my "turning circle" has increased!

Oh and I snort randomly throughout the day! I'm hoping it stops after pregnancy!

mrfreeze · 21/05/2012 21:23

OH GOOD GOD I SNORT TOO!!

I have never ever snorted in my life yet nowadays i only have to giggle and there i am full on pig snort a gogo.

i hope it stops soon!
