Hi, Im pregnant with my 4th child (ds 5, dd 3, lost ds at christmas last year :( )

I developed SPD with dd and the prolapse and a hernia after having her.

Im now 26 weeks into this pregnancy and have days where i can literally barley walk! (yesterday eve was one of those days) On different days different things hurt sometimes the spd isn't that bad, other days it cripples me, somedays its the prolapse etc!!

Just wondered if anyone else has experienced a prolapse during pregnancy and what happened? I feel like i need something to hold me altogether Shock Thinking crutches maybe of some help? anyone else been given them? Everything feels a little swollen and bloody sore Blush

I spoke to my dr who said to speak to midwife, The midwife is bloody crap and had no opinion and didn't no what to suggest Hmm Im waiting for a consultant app later this week for reasons relating to my sons stillbirth but am hoping they will try and sort this out!!

I can't imaging how i will physically walk for the next 3 months Hmm

sorry if iv mumbled a bit!! Anyone any experience?xxxx

Hi, I havnt had a prolapse but wanted to reply. I'm certain crutches would make a difference, even if you just use them sometimes. They would help take the weight off that whole area. I'm pretty sure you can just ask for them? Go back and see a different doctor if you can. But also make sure you mention all of this to your consultant. I know from experience they are keen to get you seen and back out the door quickly, do write it all down and go through it whilst there.

So sorry to hear of your troubles. I know nothing about prolapse but wanted to share my SPD/PGP experience with you.

If you are able to pay then I can recommend seeing a chiropractor for SPD. I'm 18 weeks pregnancy 3 and have had SPD both times previously.

My chiropractor has a particular interest in pregnancy related issues and is of the opinion that SPD is very treatable and that no-one should have to end up with crutches or a wheelchair. She's done wonders for me so far and claims she will be able to keep me sufficently 'fixed' together until the end.

Hope you find a way of coping with everything x

Are you talking about a disc prolapse? If so, I know exactly how you feel!

Sorry to hear about your son. I have a prolaspse which developed after dd2 and am currently pregnant with number 4. I was referred to consultant with No3 but never saw one as they said there was nothing they could do. I have been referred again but will have to see if they actually want to see me. I def find that doing pelvic floor exercises helps me but I did find it affected my birth with ds3, although not too severely. Are there any other midwives you can speak to and maybe bring it up with your consultant who may be able to at least point you in the right direction.
Hope you feel better with it all and get some help soon x
