Best Breast/Maternity pads?!

Starting to buy a few bits and pieces for hospital bag and now looking at breast/maternity pads I had a couple of questions someone may be able to help me with.

Was in sainsburys yesterday and they have own brand 50 breast pads for £1.89 - mothercare ones - 80 pads were £7.99 or something, lansinoh ones 60 pads were £5 something

Are they all the same or is it better to spend more and get better pads?

The same applies for maternity pads - are any brands better than others?

More than happy to spend the money if needed - frankly the amount I've saved on wine the last 9 months I could afford hand stitched by fairy ones

The same with nappy sacks actually, in sainsburys their basics nappy sacks are 29p and 'little ones' nappy sacks are £1.29? is there any difference? aren't they just smelly bags to put dirty nappies in?!

Anyone got any wisdom? I'm happy to pay for better quality if you get that but not if it's just brand you are paying for!

Thanks

Lansinoh nipple cream is 100 percent allergen free, I just bought some from boots yesterday, tried it out, a little goes a long way, very happy.

I am currently breast feeding my 4th baby and after extensive trial and error prefer washable pads. They are much more comfortable and cheapest in the long run and absorb more ( if like me you leak a lot).

Catycat does the Green Baby nipple balm have any fragrance? Is it 'creamy' or 'gel like'?

oaks the ingredients of the Green Baby one are as follows: Helianthus annuus (organic sunflower oil), cera alba (beeswax), butyrospermum parkii (shea butter), theobroma cacoa (cocoa butter), triticum vulgare (wheatgerm oil). It has no added fragrance, and I don't remember it having a smell (other than that of the ingredients, which are all fairly smell-neutral). The texture is more like a waxy ointment (probably the beeswax in the balm), more like a soft lip balm than either gel or cream. Hope that helps!

Mat pads : boots ( often on 3 for 2)

Breast pads : disposable - laniosh ones reusable - littlelambs

Bags : cheaper the better!!

Cats - thank you :) Some of the technical names are charming aren't they Grin Sounds worth a go!
