Hi everyone
I've just found out I'm pregnant with my second, already have a DD who is 4. I want to be very excited but unfortunately I suffer from extremem emetophobia so I am more terrified of morning sickness than anything else.

I think I am about 6 weeks (not been to Dr yet to confirm) and so far have been fine. I didn't suffer with DD1 so hoping to be the same this time around. I'm doing all the same things I done first time, travel bands, eating crackers before getting out of bed, eating avery couple of hours and sticking to bland foods.

Would love to hear from anyone else who is going through the same thing or who has been through it.

Re the sea bands, it's fine to wear them all day and night, I do x

Thanks chipsandmushypeas.
I'll definitely try some of those suggestions. I'm getting a bit fed up with peppermint tea so the hot water and lemon could be a good shout - might also freshen up my mouth a bit hehe!

So glad to hear you started to feel better around 8 weeks - fingers crossed that happens for me too. We're taking our DD on holiday for a week on the 10th June and I really don't want to feel like this when we are away, was so looking forward to a nice relaxing break.

I seem to manage better when I am busy so just trying to focus on work when I'm there and pottering aroud the house the rest of the time. Although DH insisted I sit with my feet up and do nothing last night - felt the worst I ever have!!

I've now got myself convinced that I didn't feel this bad first time around and that therefore means I'm having a boy! Anyone else any inclings to what they are having yet?

Yes, the lemon does freshen your mouth when it feels 'furry' :)

Apparently the yolk sac has reduced significantly by 8 weeks so nausea should ease up. I still find myself off a lot of food but I'm actually hungry a lot now!

I really hope it eases up before your holiday.

I really don't mind what I have as I'm hoping for 3 dcs but I've had a feeling from the start it's a boy.

I just heard the heartbeat on a Doppler I bought! Amazing! I feel much better as I was worrying!

That must be so exciting! It makes it all seem so real when you hear the heartbeat.

I went to the Dr yesterday so I'm 7+1. It's all changed since I had DD! I've to call the hospital myself to have my booking in appointment and scan. Dr only took my blood pressure and handed me a card with a phone number on it - all very strange :)

I also went to see my kinesiologist yesterday so was feeling a lot better after that. Going to see her every week until I reach 12 weeks.

DH is going to the shop tonight to buy me some lemons :)

Think I'll be stopping at 2! DH and I are both only children so finding the thought of having 2 a bit scary never mind 3. I desperately wanted a girl first time around (although I never admitted it) so this time I'd be happy with either or. Would be nice to have another girl since I've still got most of DD's clothes etc, but would be equally as nice to have one of each.
Will you be finding out what you are having or keeping it as a surprise?
