And have you limited it now your pregnant?

I'm a bit cheeky and asked this question in another thread but only got one reply so am unashamedly reporting with a different title.

Think it's quite an interesting point because we can't be sure yet if the effects of constant use if mobile phones / smart phones / wi-fi on unborn babies.

I've started to try and limit my use (she says, talking away in her phone) not only because I am conscious of all the signals / low level radiation but mainly because I waste many an hour on the internet!

What do you mean by "we can't be sure yet"? Sounds like bad science to me. the signal used for mobile phone calls is much stronger than the signal used for your wifi connection - if you're worried get rid of your mobile! ;-)

What a load of bollocks, yet another scare monger! If we listened to all these things we'd live in cardboard boxes eating and drinking nothing!

I spend a couple of hours a day using wifi and my son only has two heads so i cant see a problem...

I'm not being a scare monger - in interested in what people think!

If we "can't be sure" then surely you could say the same about walking, breathing air, eating carrots, reading newspapers, using soap and all sorts of other random things that we do every day that haven't been shown to present any risk.

I think its a bit ridiculous and unnecessarily stressful to try and find things to worry about that dont need to be worried about.

If you must, worry about the proven facts and don't stress about everything else.

if I'm awake I either have my laptop on my knee and/or my smartphone on. Never entered my head it might be a problem.

I remember reading on my iPhone or Blackberry instructions that if you
want to wear it attached to a belt, you should ensure it is at least 1.5 inches away from your body (iir correctly), so I have used that as a guide for my laptop and iPad and put a cushion underneath (don't use internet on iPhone that much).

But what if your neighbours have wifi. Or there is a mast in the vicinity. Or a pylon?
