Morning all

Am 5ft, started of 9.5st and now appraoching 10st at 17+4 with our first so I'm wondering if there is anyone with similar stats who can tell me when you first felt baby move.

If it makes any difference my bump feel pretty hard at times but mostly high up and baby obviously is still just under belly button.

Heart the heart beat at 16 week mw appt but am impatient to feel being kicked lol!!

Thanks GinPalace. I am sure it will. I don't know why I had a funny worried day yesterday. I had some horrible crazy dreams and think that might be it.
Beans1977 you are a week ahead of me. What day is your scan?
Athough I am saying I feel a bit worried (or did yesterday), I am sure it's fine for both of us. I've heard loads of different things re feeling first movements! x

Hi PollyIndia my scan isn't until next Wednesday when I will be 20+6... it can't come soon enough! I am very nervous about it but I'd rather know what the score is and how the land lies. I'll let you know how I get on - keep me posted!

I'm pretty similar sized - 4 foot 11 and started at 9 st. I wasn't certain that I was feeling it until past 20 weeks, but once I felt more certain I realised that I had been feeling it a little earlier but hadn't recognised it (despite spending hours in bed trying hard to feel it). The scan showed that I have an anterior placenta so that makes it duller to feel, although now at 24 weeks DH has been able to feel him a couple of times. I think being smaller makes it easier once you do feel them because they have less room, but doesn't mean that you feel them any earlier. The midwife told me that in first pregnancies it is very normal to get to 23 weeks without feeling them.
