I am almost 18 weeks pregnant and I need some new maternity boulder holders bra's desperately. Alas, shopping isn't an option for me so I will need to measure myself and buy online.

Does anyone know of a good measuring guide?? I have tried a few this morning and they are varying wildly. And some don't even go up big enough ShockBlush

Also I need some recommendation on where to buy. I haven't got a huge budget but do want something that is going to be both comfortable and wears well.

Any help is much appreciated Smile

Measuring with a tape measure isn't much cop - they're only designed to cater for people who have up to a C cup iirc, as they were invented way back int he days where those were normal sizes iyswim.

I can't recommend getting measured enough - but if it's not an option, order several in a different size and see which fits best, that's the only way to do it really! Use your current bra size as a jumping off point.

Fwiw, I thought I was a 36D and the online measuring thingies thought I was a 38C. I went and got "measured" (no tape measured was actually involved) at bravissimo and I'm actually a 34F and I've never felt so supported in all my life Blush

  • "getting measured" is a bit of a misnomer; I should have said "getting fitted by a professional" :)

lol due to location and the fact that it is a 5 hour ferry ride to the mainland and actual shops getting fitted is definitely out!

We are away for a few days next month though so may try and hold out until then.

Thanks Fluffy

Just come back from bra fitting today in John Lewis, they were ace and bring you all different sizes and styles as they can vary a bit depending on actual bra / make.

Can't believe I've gone from a B to a DD in 16 weeks!

I did need to make an appt which I wadn't expecting but they were much better than in m and s who seemed pretty squeamish about it all. Grin
