Nursing Bras- Fittings??

Hello, Just wondering if anyone can advise the best place to get on fitted? Been advised between 37 and 40 weeks is the best time but no clue where to actually go. Been told M&S and Mothercare are rubbish, but I have no clue where else people would go.
Thank you. :)

I was measured in La Senza, and they were spot on. Then I went to mothercare, picked what I needed and hey presto....perfect fit Smile

Where do you live? I am afraid I only know London. Although avoid m&s, fitting is awful and their bras do not offer enough support. I would always suggest Rigby and pellet although I am sure there are other independents who are good ie sadie the bra lady ( if she is still in business, London, sorry) and glories in Romford. John Lewis is ok ish but it depends on the fitter. Don't bother with debenhams or bravissimo. I had a good fitting at Selfridges on London too. Or the bras themselves Anita are good and what is the name of the brand designed by a supermodel? Her bras are good as made by Bendon, a great maker of bras.

Debenhams are good and have a fairly good range or get fitted there then look online. Figleaves sell a great soft bra called emma I think that is really streachy and good for when the milk comes in.

I would have to travel as I live in Darlington, but the metro centre and Newcaslte are close by so no probs with travelling. Would prefer to get something right than have to keep spending money and time on bras that are naff.

Get fitted in a nice shop, buy maybe one bra and then order the rest on line! I was fitted for a really nice Hotmilk bra and then went home and ordered them online at half the price. PASSIVEHOOVERING, I think you mean the Elle Mcpherson Maternelle range , the nursing bras are the most comfortable to sleep in, they are quite big covering like a sports bra, but comfy! The Hotmilk ones are more daytime very pretty and look more like a proper ''sexy''bra!

Got mine from m&s. Very helpful and bras are a reasonable price. Once I knew my size I went mothercare n almost died @ the cost!

I got measured around 26 weeks in Bravissimo, and the nice lady in there suggested I came back at 37 weeks+ to get a more accurate measurement as I might grow once my milk comes in (personally, I think I've shrunk a cup size so far Hmm). Was very pleased to be given advice which meant that I haven't wasted any money on a bra that might not fit correctly when I need it - 36wks tomorrow & only a week left in work, so will be shopping next weekend!!!

Bravissimo or Rigby & Peller.

I would recommend Bravissimo, some BFCs are trained in bra fitting and will come to you.

If you do get measured at 36 weeks, don't go nuts shopping, you are likely to go up a cup size and down a back size within a week or 2 of baby arriving, for that first stage, Bravado, or the soft Carriwell bras that cover more than one cup size are good, but do be prepared to get fitted again and buy most of your nursing bras after baby arrives.
