NOT ended up on crutches etc? Better yet not ended up getting worse and worse as bump gets bigger?

I'm now 26 weeks and it's getting pretty bad, keeps me awake at night as can't get comfortable and so painful to move an inch, and don't even get me started on turning! Then walking is horrible, sitting is horrible, going from sitting to standing I look like an 80 year old with arthritis, inching out of my chair, all hips clicking and clicking from various bits of my pelvis I can't even really identify... Also, the underneath of my bump is getting incredibly sore - not sure whether that's related too...

Anyway, it's not so much how I feel at the moment that's getting me down - it is bearable - what's really worrying me is that it inevitably gets worse. It's simply not an option for me to take any time off work before 35 weeks at the earliest and I'm just so worried it's going to end up crippling me out of a choice.

So, my question is, is it INEVITABLY going to get worse, or does it sometimes just stay the same? TIA

Sorry, just realised a complete lie/ fit of wishful thinking about dates - I'm actually still only 25 atm!

I think it depends on how many children perhaps? My second and third I didn't end up on crutches, it got worse when I was tired but returned to just bloody awful after rest Grin.had crutches for No. 4.
Can you sit/stand change position at work?
Also look into getting benefits. I think I got incapacity benefit to save me using my Maternity benefit somehow, but sorry my brain went as well as my pelvis so I can't remember properly. Maybe union/personnel or Occupational Health could help?
They are worth it though >

Thanks gaunyerel, it's my first.

As for benefits, it's more about career than money, why I can't stop - I'm under a lot of pressure to perform at the moment, and just so desperately want to just get through the next 10 weeks (ugh, writing that down just realised how bloody long that is!)

I had BRILLIANT results from a chiropractor, worth a try?

babbashouse · 26/04/2012 17:00

Thanks Hambles, maybe I should. I went to one for back pain a couple of years ago though and they were ruuuubish - insanely expensive and ineffective too as far as I could tell.

Here's a ridiculous/ embarrassing thing. I was on the bus today eating a magnum (my treat for having made it to the bus stop without falling down and giving up on stupid pelvis walking pain). Anyway, old man chirps up amused 'oooh, that's sounds nice' - at which point I realised I'd been audibly groaning with pain as I sat down/ tried to get remotely comfortable, and he'd mistaken it for the sounds of unbridled pleasure (typical man!)
