Blood stained mucous 22 weeks

Hi
I'm 22+1 today with dd2. I had brown bleeds at around 5 weeks, a scan at 6 weeks showed a haematoma next to where my placenta was forming. It stopped after a few days, and my dating and anomaly scans showed no signs of it, and everything else was fine. I had a routine hospital appointment yesterday due to my previous cs and the dr listened in, everything was fine.
This morning in the shower I noticed the tiniest blob of pale brown mucous, and all day my cervix has felt sore, and I know how odd that sounds! Just now I've lost some blood stained mucous, it was a mixture of dark red and brown. The mw is on her way out to me but I'm working myself up into a state. I have felt the baby move this afternoon, not for the last hour or so but she tends to be more active in the evenings. Has anyone else had this?

I should also mention that whilst pregnant with dd1 I had bleeding on and off through the first 13 weeks, I was diagnosed with cervical erosion. I also mc at 11 weeks last year Sad

Thanks you.

it's good the mw is on her way. she can set your mind at rest.

bleeding/spotting in pregnancy is very common indeed, and brown is less of an issue than red, remember that! she'll check your cervix and everything is probably fine.

also remember you have no pain receptors in your cervix afaik, so you are probably not feeling pain there. you're probably freaking out a bit and taking the normal sensation of baby's weight pressing down on you, as a "pain" sensation iyswim.

i'm at risk for cervical incompetence, so i know how you feel, i am 19 weeks and my God do i spend every day praying that i will at least get to 26-28 weeks. it is very hard sometimes. i'm sorry for your previous loss, i know how that feels too Sad

but you know what, you've got people watching over you and they will do everything they can to help. you will be OK x

Thanks oik. I've felt a few strong kicks since writing that, which is reassuring. Im still waiting for the mw to get to me. I hope she does examine me - my mc was traumatic and involved a dr having a very painful rummage with forceps so I've got paranoia that she's damaged something.

Sorry to hear of your loss(es) and I hope your baby stays where he or she should for as long as possible x

It's stopped for now. The mw listened in and all sounds good. She didn't examine my cervix but said if I have any cramps or fresh bleeding I'll be assessed in hospital. I need to take it easy and watch and wait.
