I'm 36 weeks pregnant with my 2nd baby. I was over the moon when finding out I was pregnant and this baby is wanted so much but I'm really getting the stage of wanting this pregnancy to be over. I just want my baby to be here now. I'm so tired and can't sleep due to sciatica, pain in my hips, acid reflux, restless legs, breathlessness and general aches. During the day I'm taking paracetamol for shooting pains in my legs from the sciatica and severe pain and tenderness in my ribs from rib flare. If I sit I get shooting pains down the front of my legs and if I walk I get them down the back. My bump feels heavy and dragging. My bladder is seriously being beaten up. I try to do housework or go for a walk and I feel dizzy and breathless and my ribs feel like they are on fire. I'm hungry all the time but can hardly eat because I feel so full and uncomfortable really quickly. Then I get the reflux and heartburn again. I know it'll be over soon but when you feel this way 4 weeks seems a long way off. If one more person tells me that its not long now I might scream. It's easy to say when you're not going through it. My last baby was 2 weeks overdue and I just hope this one isn't the same. I feel like all I do is moan but I know I should be grateful to have a healthy pregnancy. I'm just so fed up. Any other mummys out there feeling the same?

Thank you!!
They've done a sweep and sent me home Sad Just mowed my lawn and got a big stitch now!!
Also got no patience for DDs, in fact I've got no patience for anyone!
You think I'd be used to it this being my third, but I'm not! Sad
Totally fed up, had enuff, wanna get bubba out NOW!!

HerrenatheHHHarridan · 24/04/2012 20:04

babylon - keep pacing and raging, that might shift the little freeloader! Alternatively, i've heard that really hot curry works... Might be rather uncomfortable though Confused

Fishandjam · 24/04/2012 20:13

Ooh, can I join? I'm only 30 weeks with no 2, but I'll groan a big YES to the sciatica, restless legs, heartburn, hamster bladder, ligament twinges, dragging bump and utter, utter exhaustion (some days). 5 weeks left at work and I'll tell you, I'm counting every damn hour.

smallwonder · 24/04/2012 22:50

Hat off to those working. I did maternity leave with DC1 at 20 weeks and that was enough! As much as I complain about little rest with 3 small kids I don't think I could work so far gone -- well done to u!
And here's to another restless night Hmm

TessTosterone · 25/04/2012 13:53

I have started mat leave this week and honestly could not have faced working a minute longer. At least i get 2 child free days now. Bliss.

This weather is not helping. My legs are too fat for my wellies and none of my coats fasten so on the school run I am like a drowned rat and look ridiculous wearing my sandals. I feel like I can't justify buying anything at this stage though.

HI, I am 39 weeks and just read you had a horrible sharp pain on your ribs, you might want to get it checked to see if you have dislocated your rib - after seeing 3 GP's last week who just gave me stronger and stronger pain meds I saw an osteopath who clicked my lowest rib back into place ( this was after 3 nights of no sleep and bloody agony with muscle spasms all night long). Osteopath said this is very common in pregnant women. Gp's had also diagnosed me with chickenpox and put me on Aciclovir, by last Wed I had gained 12 lbs of water retention in 3 days and could not kneel, bend wrists etc due to the combination of tablets. This also gave me bum cheeks that were luminous red. itchy pink palms and soles of feet. My midwife thinks I have been eating too many processed foods , as I have a pink face - I have only been able to eat porridge, grapes, bananas, yogurt , milk and ice lollies thanks to the indigestion so I am now at the phase when I do not want to see another GP etc unless they are actually delivering my baby ! I will decapitate the next person who says " Oh , not long now ...." and I am booking my husbands vasectomy as soon as I have delivered !

mousebacon · 25/04/2012 21:25

Ooh, thanks greenandblacks I'll mention that to my mw.

AlisonJayJay mine goes when I relax and lie back too and the consensus is that it's muscular. Greenandblack's post above is something to consider though.

40+4 here, totally fed up and had enough of being pregnant! Just want my baby boy now please!

Fanbelt · 27/04/2012 09:11

Hi all, 34 wks and counting with DC3. I'm booked in for ELCS at 39 wks so at least I know the end is in sight but I definitely am with the rest of you on the pain/exhaustion/heartburn/cramp/generally feeling like I've had enough. Can't wait for it to be over and to finally meet our LO.

HerrenatheHHHarridan · 27/04/2012 22:50

Fantastic news babylon - congratulations! He's a whopper Thanks

slavetothewage · 27/04/2012 23:28

Can I join.

40+10 here and struggling.

I'm so desperate I've considered trying to break my own waters lol.

bonbonpixie · 28/04/2012 00:41

Me too. 38 weeks today, so sleepy but can't sleep due to all the usual stuff heartburn/bathroom breaks/restless legs also DH and I moved house today. Mental right! We're renting out the old one so don't have to be out by a certain date but just soooo want to get everything organised in case baby decides to come early. All should have been done weeks if not months ago but DH works overseas a lot and having him here for birthdays etc has been tricky let alone property viewings and such.

Actually cried twice today because movers 'just weren't doing it properly' so embarrassed, but feeling so helpless does not suit me at all. Think I'm descending into madness, don't think I could handle going 14 days over. Wish i could just pick and date and time and click my fingers to start labour....

Rant over
Feel so so much better! Smile

Babylon1 · 28/04/2012 01:29

Sending big speedy labour vibes to you waiting ladies xxx

Fanbelt · 28/04/2012 04:36

Congrats Babylon - 4hrs and just gas and air is really impressive.

Greenandblacks you have made me feel so much better - yes I can't sleep and am in pain (back ache/leg cramp/heartburn etc.) but none of it sounds quite as bad as what you've had to cope with! Wink

VeronicaSpeedwell · 28/04/2012 10:46

Congratulations Babylon! Grin

tethersend · 28/04/2012 10:54

Can I join?

Congrats to those who have had theirs Smile

35 weeks and fed up already. Hips, legs, indigestion, blah blah. Plus three year old.

I have a CS booked in three weeks and I cannot wait. Or I'm terrified. I can't decide which Grin

nicolachambers277 · 27/02/2015 21:50

I am SO GLAD to hear it's not just me!

I am only at 33 weeks but following 25 weeks of morning sickness (which has just come back again at week 32), exhaustion, rib flare, heartburn, painful backaches, fissues/piles and basically the feeling of carrying around twice my normal weight, I am well and truly ready to have this baby!

Also, within the past two weeks two of my friends have had their babies, so I am next. This is my first but makes me seriously jealous because now I want mine to be here!! Def going to be the one and only!!

For me the worst part is however all my colleagues telling me now great I look (Im not being bigheaded - stick with me here) when I seriously just want to crawl into a whale-sized hole and cry!

So thank you for all sharing your stories. It's helped me realise I am not the only one going through this.....the sliver lining is, one of my friends who has never had a child calls my pregnancy "awful"..... i am pretty sure that despite all of the above, I have had it pretty easy compared to others!!!
