Swollen feet?

I am 32 weeks and have noticed that most of my shoes are too tight. This did not happen to me with my first pg, and wondered how normal it is. Or, it could be the heat. It is low 30's here.
I don't want to buy a bunch of new shoes, as I will then have too big shoes when my feet go back to normal ( they will, right?) I can only wear flip flops on Thursdays, or else I would them every day.
Any suggestions for helping the swelling go down? Thanks!

You should get your bp checked. Swelling can be a symptom of pre eclampsia

Get checked because of what Giant says, its really important.

I had swollen feet, and it wasn't pre eclampsia - just a delight of pregnancy.Mine didn't go till a little while after birth.I just wore the one (manky) pair of sandals that would fit,but they were flip flop style - I really don't think I could have got anything else on.

Why can't you wear flip flops - is it a very good reason?

After being checked out at your gp, put your feet up as much as possible, try and make sure your ankles are higher than your hips.

My feet were massive towards the few weeks at work, but since finishing, they have gone down tremendously, but are still prone to swelling if I'm on them for a while.

I had my BP checked yesterday, 120/80, so it was fine.

I am a teacher and flip flops fall into casual thursday wear. I have 2 pairs of gladiator sandals that I usually wear, but the straps across the top are getting tight. I may have to buy some dressier flip Flops and plead pregnancy issues to my principal.

4 more weeks of work!

I had this for the last few months of pregnancy, in my hands too, think it's called odema? I found Birkenstocks were great, would you be allowed those? I had to wear covered shoes at work because I worked in a kitchen, and wore cheapo clogs in a size up with insoles. Same as casperette said, keep your feet elevated, I used to put pillows under them when I went to bed and that helped.
